"NO KEY" when trying to turn my Touran on
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Fred Timperly's topic in Volkswagen Touran Club
sounds like the immobiliser aerial by the ignition lock is not reading the key properly. I would take the car to a VW specialist for them to scan it and recode the key if necessary -
Hi....welcome to the Club Glad to hear the work was done under warranty and it useful to keep the cover running for as long as possible on some vehicles. Good to have you onboard!

Hello, I’m after a genuine VW oil filter air filter and petrol pump from Mark 2F 1992 polo. Thanks
-
I hear a clunk sound, it comes from front where the storage compartment is and it’s not continuous. I hear this soft clunk sound once or twice in a journey, and I don’t let it bother me too much. sometimes I notice it even when the car has been turned off. I have always assumed that it has sometime to do with car temperature I don’t know why I think that 🤷♂️.

Abs light is on
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Andrew Leatherbarrow's topic in Volkswagen Touran Club
more than likely an ABS sensor on the wheels, which one is another ballgame as you'll need to scan the ABS system to determine which one has failed -

I've been able to order the the rubber carb mounting plate, so will fit that when it arrives. P/n 030129765 From the parts list, it call the screw, 'CO balance adjustment' I now see there is an idle mixture screw on the other side of the carb, so will have to fiddle with these two once the plate and air leak is fixed. Is there a downloadable page for the carb settings?. I see now the engine is a HZ. I also need a part number for the vacuum capsule on the Bosch distributor, the diaphragm in it is not holding a vacuum, but I think once I get the Bosch number off the distributor I might find the p/n for the capsule, unless anybody knows it pls.

HELP! VW Polo Japanese Imports? Really?
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to count's topic in Volkswagen Polo Club
Usually with Japanese import vehicles, they go through an auction house and are issued with a very comprehensive report on condition. This should be available to view from the dealer before you commit to purchase. As far as I am aware the mileages are low as generally the roads are not vast and unable to achieve high speeds and distances. -
Adblue range remaining same
thegovernoruk replied to thegovernoruk's topic in Volkswagen Passat Club
Hi, many thanks for the response. I’m not sure if I’ve resolved my concerns but think I may have. I have been assuming the Adblue range would reduce as per same miles as car was being driven IE mile for mile. Earlier this week the range reduced from 6500 miles to 6000 miles having driven 1400 miles. I decided to contact VW direct as it seemed a grey area with several possible solutions online and they have advised it depends on driving styles, driving conditions, and length of travel time amongst a host of other factors that determines the amount of Adblue used. having never used a blue motion engine before, it was a puzzle to me but considering I assumed the range was directly linked to miles driven, it seems I’ve found the answer but thank you for taking the time to respond I’ll still keep an eye on it meantime. -
I want a fairly low mileage estate up to £8k automatic. I live in Dorset.

Hello, Last year I bought an '04 Sharan with just 24k on the clock(yeah, crazy). A few urgent issues that needed to be sorted and now done(new oil pump, coolant leak), so she's running smoothly now(touchwood!) On last service, 2 things came up that will require work sooner rather than later, one of them corroded door sills. I'd like to get a quote on it. Can anyone recommend someone to do the work please? I'm in the Milton Keynes area. Thanks Dave

I got my Sharan June 2023 and really like it, apart from the dipped headlights. I have fitted +200 lights from Halford, they give a bright light but are no better on the distance they light. I can't fit LEDs. Any suggestions please?

Passat B7 Estate parking sensor
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to danseantom's topic in Volkswagen Passat Club
If it is a parking sensor then they make a clicking noise (very feint) and if one isn't clicking then it is faulty, remove and replace from the bumper if you can access it -
Vw Passat 2011 2 ltr tdi Bluemotion abs sensor
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Delboy's topic in Volkswagen Passat Club
Are the same amount of wires on both sensors? Can you measure the resistance of both sensors to see if they are the same (or at least quite similar resistance (Ohms) ? Also ensure that the reluctor ring has the same amount of teeth / slots as the original one -
Have you got a photo of this warning lamp?

new (2016) VW Passat owner
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to thegovernoruk's topic in New Members Welcome Lounge
Hi...welcome to the Club I would definitely check that the system is working as it should do as if there are problems with the AdBlue then it can be very costly. Also, ensure that you never run that low on the fluid as it has a limited range / time before it shuts the engine down and dealer only reset which can leave you stranded on the road side. I would start by reading any owners manuals you received with the car to familiarise yourself with the operation of this system. -
Hi....welcome to the Club Wow! haven't seen one of those in years, superb looking car and definitely one to have back then, and now Good to have you onboard!
