  1. 54 reg Touran 1.9TDI (105) So it started with the left indicator that had stopped working. I took the cover off, looked at the bulb and put it back together. All worked fine again. Shortly after the right side went, But I couldn't get the twisty bit out of the housing unit. After some playing I got it out but the metal bit had snapped off. I ordered a new part from VW and installed with a new headlight but its still not working. I took the headlight unit out to check for any loose wires but it all looks fine. Any ideas? New headlight unit? or something more going on? Indicators are working fine on the mirror and the rear. To add to that, my airbag light came on this morning. All wires seem ok under the seats. Is there a way to located the problem / check before I pay to have a garage check it? Thanks in advance. Lee
  2. So I'm a month in and no real change. However, I've noticed something. When the engine cuts, if I apply the brake and go back to the accelerator it drives normally again. I'm thinking this is a brake system fault. I did have the rear brake discs, pads and a calliper done just before this all started.
  3. its the 1.9 TDI (105PD) Its been back to the garage 3 times now. They have replaced the fuel pump and also cleaned the EGR and intake which they said had a large build up of carbon. I test drove it again yesterday and its still cutting out randomly. Annoyingly when they test drive it, or when I take them out it doesn't do it. The cut out feels like a full lack of power in gear. When I change gear or put the clutch in and rev it works fine again. The engine never dies fully. I'm a little lost
  4. Hi guys, I’ve just joined this forum although it’s been long overdue. I’m hoping to have some help here. I’m not sure this is specific to the Touran but i’ve been driving at motorway speeds and noticed the engine seems to cut. If I press the clutch in and rev it, or change gear it kicks back in and it’s fine again. does that sound like it’s being starved? Perhaps oxygen or fuel? it’s just had some fairly large work done, oil leaks and cam belt and it had been working fine. thank you in advance Lee
