Passat B5 1.9 TDI Sport Estate 1999 Requires New Home

The time has come to face the prospect of saying goodbye to what has overall been the best car I have ever owned. With only one very careful previous owner (2 years) it served me for many years until it was retired from service just two years ago, with the intention being to make it a restoration project. I now have to admit that this is not going to happen.

I would prefer to find someone who will restore and cherish it but recognise that it may instead need to be an amazing donor car.

It has much going for it being mostly corrosion free but does require work to restore. Pretty much everything works but would for sure need new discs and pads all round and a replacement nearside front wing (corrosion). In Satin Silver it has later B5.5 Road America 16in wheels (no kerbing) shod with good tyres - 3 X Falken + 1 x Michelin (requires replacement). It has great interior with no rips or tears but front door card material has become loose on armrests.

Having been meticulously maintained it was still delivering 60+mpg on longer runs prior to being taken off the road, with a new drivers window mechanism fitted just 3moths prior to MOT expiry. A service and spares package is included (I will list if anyone is interested). A full service record together with files for every receipt for anything spent on it and even comes with original brochures and the handbook package.

I will post pictures if anyone is interested.

Sensible offers invited, please don't be too harsh as I will be donating the proceeds to charity.

Located in Norfolk.
