Hi, many thanks for the response. I’m not sure if I’ve resolved my concerns but think I may have. I have been assuming the Adblue range would reduce as per same miles as car was being driven IE mile for mile. Earlier this week the range reduced from 6500 miles to 6000 miles having driven 1400 miles. I decided to contact VW direct as it seemed a grey area with several possible solutions online and they have advised it depends on driving styles, driving conditions, and length of travel time amongst a host of other factors that determines the amount of Adblue used. having never used a blue motion engine before, it was a puzzle to me but considering I assumed the range was directly linked to miles driven, it seems I’ve found the answer but thank you for taking the time to respond I’ll still keep an eye on it meantime.

Hi folks, 2016 Passat Bluemotion owner. I’ve just recently purchased car and first time Adblue user. Issue: Using my steering wheel controls for car information such as fuel left in tank, oil temp, MPG etc, I also can scroll through and noted Adblue Range. I’ve driven car about 1000 miles since owning yet Adblue range never changes( still showing 6500 miles). Online YouTube’s videos are only showing a warning sign will appear counting down till car will no longer start and requires refilling. Should my Adblue range not show it reducing the more I drive or does it only show a warning when level is low? can anyone please help?

Good afternoon folks, I'm new to forum and enjoy the advice and help I get from these forums over the many ownerships of cars I've had over the last 47 years driving. Only second VW I have had with first being an old VW golf about 25 years ago. Bought a R Line Black 2016 2 ltr Passat which looks nice and drives nice. First DSG gearbox which is different to my previous Jaguar XF auto and probably will be my last saloon before going onto Jeep like cars to help get in and out of safely without clattering my dome and twisting the old knee caps too much getting in and out. The tech in the car is for me a bit too much but hey ho, gives me something to play with whilst waiting on the boss come back from her shopping trips. One thing I am unsure about is the AdBlue feature never having had to use this before. On my right of the steering wheel, I can adjust what I see in between the rev counters and speed dials information such as miles left in tank, av speed, MPG etc. It also has AdBlue range 6500 miles. I've probably driven about 40 miles a day and since ownership, about 800 miles. This AdBlue range has never changed. I do note online that warning signs will alert me on when it needs replenished but (old fashioned me) should the range I see also not go down the more I drive? Any reassurance/advice greatly appreciated.
