  1. Hi all, I suspect that the Vivo is not for sale in the UK but please read on just in case.... Long story short, some moron (i.e. me) tried to clean some old adhesive off this plastic panel using (acetone free) nail polish remover. It has obviously ruined the plastic on this panel as you can see in the attached image - It looks worse in real life! My question is whether this panel (not the light switch) is a replaceable / removable part and if not - any suggestions on how to make this look less terrible? e.g. sanding it down, some kind of lacquer.... I am pretty clueless with this kind of thing. Thanks in advance, DL
  2. Volkswagen Polo 1.9 GT TDI (130 bhp) PD An opportunity to purchase quite a rare and very well looked after car… · Made between 2004 and 2005 only. · One of only 589 ever made. · One of 304 left on the road. · One of 172 Navarra blue ones left (and it’s a 3 door!). I’m the second owner (first owner being a Doctor – with invoices to back it up). Originally purchased from Chiswick Volkswagen in 2005, then by me on 8th May 2021 in a private sale. The car remains standard mechanically – no boy racer engine modifications and has been maintained incredibly well. 71,510 miles, full comprehensive service history (lots of VW history), factory MS Design Austria (Votex) body kit, 17” VW Borbet Exor alloy wheels (very rare), Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. MOT till August 2024. Cambelt changed in 2021 at Inchcape Volkswagen, Wirral. Every service invoice, consumables invoices and MOT available in a complete folder for inspection. It’s a quick car that is superb on fuel, tax and insurance. Below is a full itemised list of work done within the last 18 months to keep this car immaculate: Maintenance & Repairs: · Genuine cambelt and water-pump replaced at Inchcape Volkswagen, Wirral (£548.98) · Major service, Mannol engine flush, Castrol Edge 5W30 VW spec oil and Bosch filters @ 59,145 miles (£80.92) · Interim service using Castrol Edge 5W30 VW spec oil and Bosch filters @ 69,102 miles (£41.99) · Bosch S5 005 61Ah silver battery (£58.76) · New Dayco auxiliary drive belt (£16.03) · Bosch windscreen wipers, front & rear (£21.99) · Holt’s silicone treatment for door and sill rubbers and plastics (£4.08) · New Hella coolant reservoir (£13.70) · New black Italian leather gear gator with grey stitching (£8.96) · New official VW fitted floor mats (£54.98) · Triple QX lithium grease treated door/boot/bonnet latches (£4.39) · Bosch ‘Dura-therm’ glow plugs (x4) (£53.96) · Bosch OEM rear taillight bulbs with Philips Silver-vision indicator bulbs (£17.99) · New OEM parcel shelf (£36.40) · Wynn’s radiator flush (£5.49) & Triple QX G13 VW Spec purple coolant (£18.49) · Philips White-vision headlight/ side light/ main beam bulbs (£57.57) · New Febi Billstein fuel filler cap (£9.98) · New drivers seat tilt handle (£5.98) · Michelin Polit Sport 4 205/40/R17 tyres (x4) (£320.99) Upgrades & Styling: · Genuine VW 17” ultra rare ‘Borbet Exor’ 5x100 alloy wheels (£200) + Alloy wheel refurbishment and powder coated in ‘Titanium Silver’ by Cyclone Powder Coating, Manchester (£180) · Full brake calliper refurbishment and colour change to ‘Magnetic Grey’ by Auto Renew, Liverpool (£350) · New 56mm VW alloy centre caps (£5.48) · VW Motorsport number plate surrounds with blue pinstripe (£19.98) · Official VW rear lights + wiring loom from Polo 9N3 (£89.99) · Porsche black fluid caps (£14.26) · LED side repeater indicators (£13.99) · Key fob shell covers & VW GT blue tartan key rings (£29.97) · Blue dust caps (£1.99) · Full MS Design, Austria ‘Votex’ body kit including grill (£520) · Full colour coding and installation of body kit by JC Paint, Wirral (£1,300) Parts Never Fitted (but will be supplied): · Re-trimmed VW GT steering wheel with black nappa and black perforated leather, grey stitching, and blue ring at 12 o’clock by Custom Control Steering Wheels (£192) · Febi Bilstein splash panel for brake discs (x4) (£40.40) · JP Group Oil filler cap seal (£1.16) + All original parts packaged up neatly in the boot should the new owner wish to swap them back, but I was going for an OEM+ kind of look. This car is twinned with the more common Skoda Fabia VRS and Seat Ibiza Cupra of the time, so lots of parts are interchangeable. Only downside is that the electric mirrors do not work. I have recently had them replaced with new ones, but believe the problem is with a connector in the drivers side door, which could be fixed with a loom or connector from a donor car. T&Cs of Viewing - Serious interest only! No boy racers, no groups of more than 2 people, proof of insurance for test drives. You’ll seriously struggle to find one... then find one similar in this condition, spec and mileage! A proper TDI VW! Happy to answer any questions on 0785 999 8259. Many thanks for looking, Jon.
  3. Hi there, i have a mk2f polo breadvan that i have just got a lowering kit for, and was curious about exhaust volumes. Obviously they are not powerful cars, but it would be nice for it to at least sound better than the ka i am sitting next to at the traffic lights, any one know any good de-muffled exhaust systems that fit/straight pipe mod jobs?

Hello Polo Members. I have a 57 plate, 5 door Polo and I need to remove the drivers door inner skin to inspect/remove the window regulator module. I have had a go by removing the 3 screws at the bottom. All the plastic popper fixings seem to have come apart okay. Not sure how to tackle the top door release with mirror switch and the lower grab handle with window switch.?? Can anyone advise please, I would be grateful. Thanks Reggie
