Volkswagen Polo Club

  1. Started by Theshed,

My Daughter has a 2018 Polo SE, recently the nav screen has started freezing and image jumping around. Is this a known problem or could it be a software issue ? Thanks

  2. Started by RAC,

Hello, I’m after a genuine VW oil filter air filter and petrol pump from Mark 2F 1992 polo. Thanks

  3. I own a VW Gol, assembled in Brazil. I get a hyperflasher on the dash because my back left LED Turn light has gone off. Twice I have checked in at the dealer but when the back-light unit is taken out and refitted, the problem seem to go away for a while and the resurfaces.

I'm fairly sure I've seen this on the Forum previously but can't find it now. We have a 2018 Polo and the washers have stopped working, fluid topped up. The handbook does not show fuse position and I can't see any diagram on the lids. Does anyone know which fuse it is or where I can find a clear diagram ?

  5. Mk5 1.2 3 cyl 60bph car starts fine when engine cold. After driving refuses to start it just keeps cranking. changed all spark plugs, all coil packs, engine loom wiring harness and starter motor. Problem still persists. any idea what this could be? Thanks

  6. Hi all, I suspect that the Vivo is not for sale in the UK but please read on just in case.... Long story short, some moron (i.e. me) tried to clean some old adhesive off this plastic panel using (acetone free) nail polish remover. It has obviously ruined the plastic on this panel as you can see in the attached image - It looks worse in real life! My question is whether this panel (not the light switch) is a replaceable / removable part and if not - any suggestions on how to make this look less terrible? e.g. sanding it down, some kind of lacquer.... I am pretty clueless with this kind of thing. Thanks in advance, DL

Hi the name is Andy and I am new to this forum. Not new to VW however, I have had Golfs and an Eos before having a string of four Mercedes. I have just swapped my 2017 C Class for a 2020 Polo GTi Plus. Why ? I have had enough of Mercedes size bills. My last service on the MB was over £1,000. The latest issue was a Nox sensor, also around the £1,000, it also needed a new set of tyres all round so good bye another £800 or so 😒 The Polo is a very different car but after a couple of weeks with it I am loving it. 🙂

  8. Hi all, Rob here, new member. I've just bought my son a nice little Polo to learn to drive in and as you'd expect with a 2004 car, it needs a bit of 'TLC'. One of the jobs I want to do is refurb the wheels as the previous owners have neglected the old girl a bit. Finding new sticky backed VW logos to replace the very tatty, faded ones is proving next to impossible. The 90mm ones I bought off fleabay are just a couple of mil too small and not quite convex enough. So, If any one has a set in fair condition, I be happy to buy them if available. I've added a picture of one off fleabay for info, mine are much, much worse! Hoping some one on thi…

  9. Started by Theshed,

Does anyone know coolant capacity of 1.0 L 2018 Polo. Handbook does not say, but is at pains to warn me not to overfill ! Also, the G40 coolant is available ready mixed from Halfords. Do I assume it has the required distilled water and does it really have to be distilled ? Thanks

  10. I have a car as above. In periods of rain, when I open the rear passenger door, water gushes out! There is slight dampness inside on the floor-well in the corner close to door and seat. Any ideas?

  11. Started by Theshed,

Just about to refill the coolant on 2018 Polo 1.0L. According to Halfords it should be G40 then I spot on the expansion tank G13. Will G40 do ?

  12. Started by Jeffers,

I have a 2009 1.2 polo match (N9) If it starts it runs v.well but sometimes it just won't start it's had new spark plugs and a coil no codes or errors are displayed no dash warning lights. Fuel pump working. we checked earthing points and cleaned. we inspected connectors to ecu and found them to be clean. On assembly we tried to start and it did. worked for a couple of days then not starting again. It hasn't stopped working when the engine has been running and no symptoms when driving. Any ideas and does anyone know where all the earthing points are. Oh yes we did take all the plugs out and there was no spark so we think it must be some sort of electrical issue So hoping…

  16. Started by Debzvw,

Hi there :). I have a polo mk 4. The rear wiper on my polo isn't working. It's had a new motor but still won't work, so i suspect the stalk or, god forbid the wiring somewhere. I've also checked the fuse which seems good. The washer on it works ok and the front ones are fine. Before i go and purchase a new switch, can anyone else who'd had a similar issue advise me at all please ? TIA Debz
