Help! whilst replacing my front headlamp i have damaged the headlamp electrical connector. i have broken the tab off by pushing a screw driver into it's slot.i manage to get it off initially by pressing the 2 sides of the connector with some pliers. how i got this to work is anyone's guess, it just did. i've tried to get the connector off again, and i can't. what are my options if i ever had to release this connector again.

Hi all: my front lane assist camera on my vw golf GTD mk7.5 is faulty. I just bought a new one to replace it. Will it need coding when I install it? If so does anyone have the correct steps to do this using VCDS?

Golf MK5 / 2003-2009 I have 2 mk5's, the 140bhp has been sat for nearly a year, great engine gearbox, good wheels, heated leathers, i don't have time for it and it hurts saying this, do i strip it or is there someone who wants to buy her whole?

On my 55 plate Volvo, I could manually fold back the door mirrors. Either the Golf's mirrors don't do this, or they're very stiff? Anyone know where I can download an owners manual/ Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Hi all, My car (mk4 pd150) recently had to have a new alternator, auxiliary belt, and battery after the old alternator died. My issue isn't wholly fixed as after this work the alternator warning light comes on when my car goes over 2k revs. The garage told me I would need to get an auto electrician to look at the issue as they can't do that sort of work. I called the electrician and he seemed pretty confident that the garage fitted the wrong alternator. I rang the garage up and they checked the part and they are confident that it is correct. I have the auto electrician looking at my car on Tuesday but wondered if anyone else has any idea what is going on or if…

Hi to everybody, I need some help please. My ignition barrel broke and the "mechanic" as changed the barrel the cluster the bcm the ECU and the gateway modules but the abs lights flash. The car drives as it should but I am unsure how to sort the abs problem. I do have the original modules but fear the mechanic as made a major problem as he did not change the abs module at the same time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any advice.

Have a mk7 Golf and the stop start engages whilst travelling at 40mph and even when it's switched off. Local VW garages says it doesn't show as a fault when it's plugged in, consequently there's nothing they can do, really? Anybody else had this, thanks

hi ,just need some info on undoing camshaft pulley wheel nut on mk2 golf gtd can i use the flat locking plate that slots in end of camshaft while i do it or would it damage anything,thanks

I can't find any roof bars for my mk8 Golf ? I assumed i could just buy the Thule fitting kit for my Areo bars but non exist. I've tried a set for the mk7.5 but they are miles off. Anyone got any ideas?

The passenger handle to adjust the seat height keeps falling off. From what I can see nothing is broken. It pushes back on but never really grips. Has anybody else had this?

2016 1.2 TSI Golf 30,000 miles...EPC light intermittently on dash within first 2 weeks of owning this car, back to garage, turns out the turbo actuator needed replaced..quite surprised at this for such a low mileage car and it's got me wondering if I'm in for persistent problems down the line and should hand this car back?? Hi I have a 2007 VW golf plus with 120000 miles on the clock. The clutch pedal is on the floor. I can pull it back up and it seems its OK. I can place it in gear and it starts to drive. Then the problem re occurs when I press the pedal it stays down and it won't disengage. Is it a master or slave cylinder problem. Any help or advice would help. Thanks Michael

Hi there. Hope somebody can help and advise. Some lowlife smashed 5 windows in my golf estate. Have managed to get from the breakers yard all the side windows and fitted them. But having trouble locating the rear quarter glass, this is untitled. VW UK say they are an obsolete part. Have seen one for sale in Germany for £300 plus any import tax. I have a 65 plate golf and recently had the timing belt changed. The exhaust light has since kept coming on, but when linked up to a diagnostics machine, nothing shows up. It's otherwise running OK. Any ideas?
