Just bought a Passat, and the locking system confuses me. The key fob will wirelessly open the front two doors but only locks the drivers door, the rear two doors just remain locked. If I open the drivers door with the key the alarm sounds. Is this normal or is there something adrift with my remote locking system?

I need a piece of trim for my Passat. It is the chrome piece central to the door. It is for my rear passenger door offside. I contacted VW and they want over £100 for the entire kit which is silly really. Any ideas where I could get this?

I have just bought a 2004 Volkswagen Passat Highline Tdi 100 A but it has no handbook. Anyone know where I can get a copy from?

need help my 2ltr diesel bluemotion passat it takes 5 times to start the car and its under warranty any hints garage said battery is ok and they found petrol in the diesel but that would not cause it not to start car has alway ran ok its just the starting issue garage is reluctant to change parts to see if the one on car is faulty

This is a bit of a saga, I'm afraid. I hope people will bear with it. My car is a Passat Highline 2.0 TDI, bought in May 2013. It's my third Passat. I like all the new technology in the car and was really enjoying driving it, but VW seem to have messed up with the auto-dimming of the instrument panel lighting. Actually I hadn't even noticed this "feature" until early September when it suddenly became very apparent, annoying and maybe even dangerous. I always drive with the side/headlights control switch in the AUTO position so the headlights turn on if ambient light level gets low. The car also has separate daytime running lights, by the way.
