Hi there, I've just joined and looking forward to getting my new (used) High Up! in the next week. Fingers crossed weather not too awful. Previous car was a 2CV which I just sold within first few hours of the advert being placed online. See attached pic, really sad to see it go as owned from new . Now I just have to learn how to drive a normal car again after 30 years . Hope it is easy, test driving car on Saturday. Perhaps everyone could keep of the roads on Saturday afternoon. Ha Ha.

Just bought car and would like to retro fit a reversing camera which would work using existing screens etc. Would prefer to have it fit professionally, but open to options. Looking online leads one to various options, separate camera above licence plate, or, in the tail gate boot opener. Advices please🤔🤔 wgg

Hi Please can anyone suggest an alternative to the Febi Bilstein retaining clips/ flat steel nuts that used to hold the under tray on to my Blue Gt? They are made of spring steel and have disintegrated over time. I dont really want to replace them like for like as they are expensive and the same thing will happen again. Thanks

Hi I just joined, looking for some advice please. I have an old girl 2000 Golf tdi and at the moment she's unable to go out of drives very often (my ill health, not hers). I need to keep her going in case there's a medical emergency and breakdown cover is limited re. repeat call outs for the same problem. So I'm pretty desperate. I've been looking for a compatible solar powered battery maintainer. I've read that the AA one that has good reviews but the ad says it's for diesels from 2004 onwards, an EOBD socket is required. I have no technical nous at all, does anyone know if this would be compatible with the diagnostic socket in the car? Or if not, what would be? My loca…

Hi, I bought a 58 plate Golf Sportswagen 2 litre diesel yesterday. I'm sure I'll be asking questions, previous car was a 55 plate Volvo V50 diesel, which was a great car, sat outside my house with 234,000 miles on the clock. Golf is " baby" at 159,000 miles.

Hello all, Shortly taking delivery of a low mileage 2013 Golf GTD as my new daily driver. Not my first VW, have had Polo Coupe S x2, Golf Driver Mk2, Scirocco Mk1 and Mk2 and a Passat TDi 130 Sport Wagon (probably the best of the bunch). Also many other, other makes in between. Other vehicles in the fleet are the Mrs' Fiat 500S ant my LR Discovery TD5. Looking forward to some GTD related banter. Dave

Hi So I’m going to look at a 2001 1.8T (180) Golf GTi. It looks very clean in the pictures. Has a great amount of service history and the MOTs haven’t had a tremendous amount of problems to deal with from what I’ve seen. It’s only got 89k on the clock which looks correct going by the MOTs. Paying £1500 for it. And includes the Anniversary wheels too. Is this a good price depending on the overall condition? Also is there anything I need to look for in particular. Any major issues they suffer with that someone with very minimal mechanical knowledge would be able to spot. I’ve attached a photo of the car. Includes a winter pack with heated …

Hi everyone, I notice the VW Touran forum isn't particularly active but wanted to say hello regardless. After an underlying problem with our Ford Focus, we'll be taking delivery of a 2016 VW Touran on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Hi guys, I`m here to find some advice on selling our beloved Treg. It`s been the best car we`ve had, but now we`re looking at getting a motorhome so trying to sell some belongings to save up for it! I was thinking of PX, but I want to buy our motorhome from a private seller and avoid the dealers, so that probably won`t be an option..Is there a for sale section I could use here? We`ve got a White R Line 2015 reg, v6 262hp, sunroof 20" wheels, service history, with just over 40,000 miles, nothing up with it at all, drives like a dream. We`ve had it from VW in cardiff about two years ago and put around 10,000 miles on it. Thanks in advance!

My sister in law replaced her headlight units on her 2011? Polo. The units she fitted take H7 bulbs (single filament) where as the originals took H4 bubs (2 filament). This means when she puts on full beam the dipped element goes off! Is there an easy workaround or will she need to replace the headlight units for the correct part e.g one that take H4 bulbs? Any advice would be appreciated.

My friend owns a 2017 VW Passat hybrid and he sent me this photo (please see below) the mechanic said it's missing a cover. Can anyone verify what this is and if there is a cover please. Many thanks for all who read this. Regards Jamie

Family Car Intermittent Non Starts (Re Occuring every month June, July, August..) 2012 Volkswagen Passat Estate TDI 2.0 Blue Motion. Hello, I am new to the forum. I have been searching online regarding our car and very disappointed with not being able to fix intermittent non start issues. It works and then it doesn't and if I have the patience to wait 45min to 2 hours it will start again! Any one having the same issue or am I the only one. I love it, but when I use it I am anxious it would not start when I parked somewhere away from home and then I would have to wait until it starts. No noise, no cranking, silence - but it starts again. 1) diagnostics …
