I had it towed back to him yesterday. Sorry if I sounded like I was badmouthing him, it was not intended to be that way. I truly am just looking for any suggestions that I can get. It scared me as I have my grandbabies in my car a lot. Thank you for the response.

I just recently had my timing chain and turbo replaced on my 2016 VW Golf SuperSport. Used an independent mechanic and not the dealership. After getting it back, the engine makes a loud screeching noise when I open the hood, doors, trunk and start the car. Sounds like something is trying to cycle but is getting stuck. Acc light and EPC lights are on. Today I noticed that my gas mileage is very poor and after driving it for a long period of time, I had white smoke coming from the engine. I had it towed back to the mechanic. Any input on solutions, other than getting a new mechanic.
