I am trying to find a good free VIN Decoder without much success. One of them even told me the car was a Golf. Is there someone out there who knows of a good one and maybe even run my vin number, WVWZZZAWZLU050278, through it. 🙂

Don't know if they cover Vw but I use a site called CalVIN for Landrover chassis enquiries.

But you could just try your local Vw dealer.

I collected some parts for my Daughters Polo and ask them to confirm engine size as some ViN searches had it listed as a 1.2.

They gave me a 3 page print out of the vehicle build details.
