  2. Limp mode when underload at 70mph

Hi....welcome to the Forum 100% most definitely the variable vanes sticking in the turbo. You can either try cleaning it with a Turbo Cleaner solution The alternative to replace the turbo cartridge which is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole turbocharger unit. Let us know what you find
  3. Electrical issues

Hi....welcome to the Forum I would advise looking at the Boot switch/solenoid and replace if necessary. This will probably sort the issue you have. Good to have you onboard and feel free to ask any other questions as you go along.

  5. Golf 6 GTI headlamp conversion?

There are a few bulbs listed here
  6. New here

Hi Paula....welcome to the Forum Personally, I believe it will be cheaper to buy a good used van and convert it to a campervan rather than buy one already done. There are plenty of conversions that you can buy from ebay and simply bolt it in to start the conversion. Albeit, you'll have to pay professional trades to put in the gas, electrics, pop top, etc but even with these costs it would still allow a profit in the van if you decided to sell it after a while. Let us know how you decide to go forwards with this idea. Cheers, Trevor
  7. Head lights dull and yellow

    Toothpaste works surprisingly well...and cheap!
  8. popping noise and black smoke

Sounds like it is the intercooler hose popped off, better than splitting I suppose and should only need a new clip. I would also check the boost pressure is not too high due to a seized wastegate valve or defective solenoid
  9. Suspension Air Kit

Many thanks for the reply, just for I understand better is this also a common feature for a Dec. 2011Caddy? 'YN61FTA' Thanks again

Can anyone advise me where the engine oil filter is located on a 2018 Passat R-Line? Engine is DFGA 110kW diesel.

  13. New here

Hi....welcome to the forums Nice car, the 1.8 GTi Turbo should provide enough excitement for most journeys I would imagine Good to have you onboard
  14. Rns 315 power button

It's certainly worth pulling it apart as long as it comes apart easily as opposed to wrecking it in the process. You never know what you may find and it could be an easy fix
  15. lost keys

You should be able to buy a complete set of door and steering locks, ECU and any other components needed to just plug and play...done it on a Honda and Renault before. Not sure of cost on eBay or whether it is cheaper to buy the correctly programmed key, sorry
  16. mk 5 golf 1.6 fsi 2004 HELP!!!

Oh dear! that seems quite catastrophic. I would imagine that there is a fault in the electrical wiring that is shorting to earth. This would be the reason the fuse has blown and why the battery is discharging rapidly. I would take the car to an auto-electrician to diagnose the cause before any serious damage to the electrical system occurs
  17. Petrol Sharan?

not sure really....may be available for another country possibly
  18. golf6 rain sensor deactivate

Anyone know if its possible to use Vagcom to deactivate the annoying rain sensor for the wipers & make it work as normal?
  19. Passat cc reverse camera stuck open

HI....welcome to the Forum I'm not sure on this one, would probably contact your VW dealer and see if there is a revised version that resolves this issue. Seems to be an issue with this camera across the range so surely they must have revised it over time
  20. CFFB turbo actuator

Hi Glynn....welcome to the Forum What are the symptoms your car is displaying which leads you to the above conclusion?

  22. mk6 golf exhaust?

Hi, thanks for reply but it seems this part is only available from VW dealers! ( hence reason I wondered if the MK5 silencer would fit with minor mods)
  23. Mk5 r32

Hi Rob Common problem this one, but can't seem to find any definitive answer but suggested faults lie in the Haldex controller or even the oil level being low in the unit....worth checking out everything related to the electrical connections to and from the unit. Let us know what you find
  24. Auxiliary port location

    Thank you very much.
  25. Polo radio code

Hi You should be able to obtain the code from a local VW dealer.....may have to go in for them to look it up and take the registration documents with you but otherwise they usually do this for free
  26. Polo spluttering on pull off

I would check for a vacuum leak as this could cause the symptoms you describe. Listen for any hissing under the bonnet
  27. Front coil spring

Hi Andy Have a look at these springs on Euro Car Parts they all say with or without sports suspension (Sportline) so I would say that this is the only limiting factor to choosing a replacement unless you go for lowered springs. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
