Sounds like it could be a firmware or software update is required for the audio system to enable the Aux to be used Alternatively will the phone not connect via bluetooth?

Did you happen to find your problem because I have a 2011 with the red steering wheel of death on the dash and no power steering it is currently the only vehicle I have to trust driving out of town for work and would love to know why I have no power steering my computer pulls up a code for the power steering control module, I have no clue where the module is located or anything of those lines, is it something I can replace or is it something that’s made into the whole rack assembly I have no ideas where I need to go from here, any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

We own a 2012 Touareg Altitude , lovely car but I trying to find someone who has fitted side step to an Altitude model, as my wife is struggling to get in and out, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, spoken to a couple of supplier who said its possible but spacers are needed. I purchased a set of genuine VW steps but there isn't enough clearance to open the door. Cheers Steve

Hi folks, New to this forum. My mk7 2017 facelift Golf has developed a strange USB issue. When I plug an Android phone in it randomly tells me "Failed to connect to USB". It does work sometimes but often fails. For instance if using Google Maps it can disconnect. I've changed the phone from a Motorola to a Google Pixel and have used 3 separate Type C cables but the problem is still there. This only started to happen at the start of the year. The socket rarely gets unplugged so wear and tear would be unlikely. Has anybody experienced this? It isn't the end of the world but I was hoping for a nice cheap fix. Thanks Phil

Help needed please! I'm on the verge of ordering my new golf (r line estate) but have been unable to find "samples" of the colours I'm interested in. Unfortunately my local dealer has no cars of the right colours in stock,nor do they have any colour samples. The colours Im interested in are dolphin grey and the oyster silver if anyone can help? I've tried using the vehicle configuration tool on the website but it doesn't give particularly good results!

Good morning. I am after a little bit of advise please. A couple of months ago my dad gave me his old car, it is a golf mk5 2,0TDI 4 motion. He owned it for the last 15 years ,it has fully VW service history with 68,000mile on the clock. I do not need another car so i am going to sell it, looking on line I have only found a couple for sale and for around £4000.i am wondering if any one can help me price it correctly or if anyone is interested in buying it from me. I have just been to see a 2014 sharan I’m wanting to purchase but oddly the heating only seemed to warm up on the drivers side, was so odd, and the ones in the back above doors were also not getting warm? Anyone know what this could be and if it’s expensive to fix? Many thanks

Auxiliary heater I’m not to fussed about it’s just the airbag faults I’m concerned about at the minute don’t have vcds to investigate further just using the ad20 pro. The code it’s giving me is saying the connection under the passenger seat but everything looks to be ok under there so not too sure

Difficult one to source the water getting in. A smoke generator is your best bet and if you want to save money then buy one as useful to have for a variety of uses. Usually a third service will be a small one, much like the first service There may be options such as coolant or brake fluid change which is usually chargeable on top of the service price

I'm not sure but wondering if you do actually have an auxiliary heater as the system may be looking for something that isn't actually there? The airbags, not sure again but could substitute a resistance (i used noid lamps - used for testing injector pulsing which has the correct resistance of an airbag). If the code clears then the resistance for the airbag is out and doesn't involve putting a voltage across the airbag which is dangerous (could deploy them)

hi guys hoping for some help regarding my airbags I dont own a vcds so can’t dig into the faults too much was hoping one of you gurus would be able to shed some light on these and maybe offer a solution apart from the obvious changing out the air bags. From what I can see these haven’t deployed and look to be in tact so at a bit of a loss as to what my next t steps would be I’ve done the usual unplugging and checking the connections all look ok but airbag fault still remains even after running a test and clearing outstanding faults. Hi I’ve got a m8 golf and when I purchased the it around a year and half ago. The voice control worked, however about 6 months ago it stopped working. When you press the button the icon appears on the screen, I say eg “ call James” she’s says pardon and then proceeds to give me a tutorial! The deal ships said they needed to update the system which has happened and still doesn’t work! any ideas? Many thanks
