My petrol flap wont open, I'm using my spare key manually which has no battery, could this be the reason why the petrol flap wont open. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

My 2020 GTi came with wind deflectors around the side windows front and rear. I don't like them and I have tried to get the off but they don't seem to come off easily. How on earth do they come off, I don't want to damage anything.

The new polo blue GT is a great car the infotainment with dab radio very good, I would like to retro fit a VW Sat Nav whilst retaining the other features. Any ideas would be most welcome along with what is involved in fitting and costs. Thanks

Has anyone had a tow bar retro fitted to a Mk6 Polo at an independent company (ie TridentTowing). If so, does the tow bar interfere with the parking sensors?

I have tried to look everywhere to see what air con gas goes in my 2017 Polo Match. Can anyone help as guide say look under bonet and there will be a sticker with code number on. Not in my car.

HELP - I'm a pensioner living in Leicestershire with no real knowledge of motors. I have a fairly rare 2008 POLO 1.6 SPORT (FSi). The rectangular back exhaust box is beginning to age and will need replacing soon enough but the prices I am being quoted are prohibitive (are they gold plated ?). Any ideas where I can look for "alternative" parts ? Can "non VW-standard" parts be fitted ? Is going for a "custom made" stainless a possibility ? Any recommendations or ideas gratefully received. My daughter has a 68 plate VW Polo, very low milage. Yesterday she was driving with three friends in the car, when for no reason the driver assist caused the car to do an emergency stop and locked the wheels. They were on a straight road, doing less than 30mph, there was nothing in front of them and luckily, nothing behind. If there had been a car behind it would have undoubtedly caused an accident. VW have said they will do a diagnostic test for £140. I think this is unreasonable as their cars obviously have a dangerous defect, which they should have a recall on. Does any one know the part number for front and rear mud flaps to fit the new POLO GT BLUE. VW UK confirm that you can get them specifically for this model different because of modified sills and rear end, but will not give them out you have to go through VW agent. I have tried and they cannot identify them. Any help would be so much appreciated.

So looking for a first car for my daughter, 1.2 Polo seems like a good option, was thinking 2010 - 2014 tops. So I stumbled across not one but many autotrader listings with "Japanese Imports" and "no service history? Reading a few online articles, they and the dealers all state that in Japan, the standards are a lot higher in terms of how people care for vehicles and mileage is low? Hence why I see 2012s having around 40-55k milage? My concern is that I have no service history? Safety? How do I know if it was actually in an accident? Then other concerns? Or am I over worrying? Anyone have any advice?

Hi, I’m looking to buy either a new Polo SE or the Beats model. Going for the DSG gearbox too. The only thing worrying me is the light interior on the Beats. I think it will show dirt and scratches easily over time. Any opinions on the beats interior? Thanks

Hi I have just signed up to this forum I would like start by saying Hi to everyone on here I am in need of some help regarding my VW polo mk2 I have just failed the mot on the emissions test and the mot station advised me to get a catalyst converter fitted, the problem I have is this model was never fitted with one would anyone know if there is a catalyst that would fit it's a 1987 hatchback engine size 1.3 engine code MH I am aware that other Polo variants from this era were fitted with catalyst would any of these fit my car. Hey. Purchased a Polo Blue GT last November, brand new. For about two months now I get no radio reception what so ever. Got told by a technician at a VW garage this was common amongst the Polo's. A software update was done and nothing has changed. As well the radio tends to freeze, been doing it since purchase. Any feedback will be appreciated. Cheers.

Hi guys I have a VW Polo Twist 04 plate hatchback. It has a problem that has now been ongoing for some time and i am yet to discover what it is and was wondering if someone could possibly help me out ! When i am driving sometimes the car will sort of jump and the revs fly down to 0 then fly back up but then they don't exceed 3000 rpm, untill the car then jumps again and then they go back to normal and the car runs fine again.. until it then jumps again and the same thing reoccurs. It cuts out quite often aswell, and it cant be the battery because i recently bought a new one. Anyone got any ideas? I think it could be something to do with the MAF, Would be grateful…
