I am trying to find a good free VIN Decoder without much success. One of them even told me the car was a Golf. Is there someone out there who knows of a good one and maybe even run my vin number, WVWZZZAWZLU050278, through it. 🙂 Thanks

Hi Folks. I currently own a Volkswagen Polo 02-05 model which is an 05 plate and a 5 door model. I went to get something that I keep in the Spare Wheel compartment located in the boot. When I went in, the Spare Wheel compartment was full of roughly 3 pints full of water. I got rid of it. A few weeks previous, I did notice that the back seat was looking a bit damp but never thought anymore about it. I was therefore wondering if this is perhaps a common problem with this model and vintage of Volkswagen Polo? Your thoughts would be very much appreciated. Many thanks. John G

Mk5 1.2 3 cyl 60bph car starts fine when engine cold. After driving refuses to start it just keeps cranking. changed all spark plugs, all coil packs, engine loom wiring harness and starter motor. Problem still persists. any idea what this could be? Thanks

Hi, just had to take one of the rubber bungs out from the spare wheel floor to drain water from it, it was a good 3" deep of water, also the boot area floor is damp and also the rear seats, roof lining dry and everything else till you get to the floor area, i've tried sitting in the boot and someone with a jet wash spraying but that didnt show anything, any help muchly appreciated thanks, paul

Hello, I have a 2013 polo, new coils and plugs fitted but the connector to the coil on cylinder 2 doesn’t sit tight enough so causes a misfire. It’s a new genuine vw connector as well. How can I make the connector fit more tightly onto the coil?

Hi I have just signed up to this forum I would like start by saying Hi to everyone on here I am in need of some help regarding my VW polo mk2 I have just failed the mot on the emissions test and the mot station advised me to get a catalyst converter fitted, the problem I have is this model was never fitted with one would anyone know if there is a catalyst that would fit it's a 1987 hatchback engine size 1.3 engine code MH I am aware that other Polo variants from this era were fitted with catalyst would any of these fit my car. Hi guys I have a VW Polo Twist 04 plate hatchback. It has a problem that has now been ongoing for some time and i am yet to discover what it is and was wondering if someone could possibly help me out ! When i am driving sometimes the car will sort of jump and the revs fly down to 0 then fly back up but then they don't exceed 3000 rpm, untill the car then jumps again and then they go back to normal and the car runs fine again.. until it then jumps again and the same thing reoccurs. It cuts out quite often aswell, and it cant be the battery because i recently bought a new one. Anyone got any ideas? I think it could be something to do with the MAF, Would be grateful…

Hi all after a bit of help. I've just finished rebuilding the top end of my vw polo 1.2 2008 3 cylinder engine. New valves, guide, seal's and Skimmed, new timing kit including hydraulic tensioner. Any way just found this small pin underneath the car. Does anyone recognise it and knows where its from. Not wanting to risk starting the car and wrecking it. Any help would be much appreciated

I recently bought a 2021 petrol polo from Agnews of Belfast had been booked in for a service but in the meantime there was a few lights appeared on the dash I arranged to take the car in earlier 9.am on a Thursday morning got car back 7 hours later but the lights are still on the dash. They say the car needs a new battery which the warranty won't stand over said the car was not getting enough driving I have done 6000 miles in 7 months. By the way £250 for a battery. Any help would be great many thanks

My 2020 GTi came with wind deflectors around the side windows front and rear. I don't like them and I have tried to get the off but they don't seem to come off easily. How on earth do they come off, I don't want to damage anything.
