Hi all ...... just a quick shout out to see if anyone out there is interested in buying my mk4 golf 1.9 gttdi estate. These golfs are quite rare and hard to come by these days. It is the bulletproof 130 PD engine version with substantial extra,s & extensive service history. It wants for nothing and am only selling due to new car purchase. If I could run 2 cars I would keep it but alas I cannot 😟 . If anyone wants more info or to discuss anything about it then contact me on 📞...07921 130889 and ask for steve. This is a genuine enquiry so please guys no timewasters. Thanks all and stay safe out there 👍

Hi everyone, I have a 2006 golf mk5 1.6 fsi and I have been facing a problem with the catalyst converter for 2 months now. Emissions control warning light has been on for a while. Had lamda sensor changed last month and everything was fine then 2days ago light came back on. Any idea what the issue could be. Did a computer check and 2 faults came up shown in the image. Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Hi, I have a 2009 Golf V 2.0 TDI and need to change the starter motor. How do I prevent losing all the codes when I have to disconnect the battery? I don't have a plug-in diagnostic reader to reset anything and wouldn't know how to use one. If I lose the codes how do I find out what they were or is there a default setting? As you can tell I don't have any knowledge about codes as my mechanical skills are centred around vehicles from the 60s to the 80s. Thanks in advance for any advice. Rupert

The VW dealership, at Western Newbridge Edinburgh, has just charged £1,375 for replacing a burnt out clutch on my elderly mothers car. The dealer claims there was consequential damage to the flywheel requiring new parts. Here's the thing - the car is not doing many miles and after 3 years on the road is still only at 15,500 miles. I've asked around and it's not common that a new flywheel is required in such a young low mileage vehicle. It seems rather than clean up the flywheel, a new part has been fitted as a matter of course. A little disappointed given the extra cost this puts on the bill. Polite, professional service otherwise. But unlikely to use the deal…

Hey, hope everyone is good. I'm having intermittent issues with the headunit in my 2015 Mk7 Golf GTD. The headunit will start, but it seems "disconnected" from the MFD or other buttons like on the dash. Sometimes after a short period of time it'll come online and be fine. When it doesn't boot properly bluetooth doesnt work. It states "turn ignition on" even though the engine is running. Any ideas? 20200520_180816.mp4

HI ALL, GOLF TDI GT 2007 I'm in need of some advice please. HAS anyone had similar issues as this. Emissions keeps showing. I had two fault codes. One for the Altitude sensor and 24 on the Mass Air Sensor. I've just had the MAS changed and the high pressure fuel pump last week. The car drove fine ish today but it did feel like it was sucking air in to the engine as I accelerated. I'm think it could be the EGR possibility being stuck on backed up. Or could this be a build up of oil into the pipping below the EGR. Any help would be very much appreciated. DICKCO.

Hi. I have a mk6 golf saloon off side wing for sale. It's just been sprayed but I hadn't realised a golf estate front end is different to a golf saloon. Also I have a bumper in new paint for sale and one not in paint which is damaged but repairable. Please message me if you're interested in either. Wanting around £50 for the wing. £50 for the damaged bumper and £150 for the complete, newly sprayed bumper.

Hello, I have a problem with my 2006 vw golf mk5 1.4 TSI engine. EPC and check engine controls lit up on my dashboard, VCDC fault code 000802 - engine speed sensor g28. Where can I find the sensor in my engine? I have read that it is located somewhere around the supercharger, do I need to take it off or is it located somewhere else? Thanks

Hi everyone Just px'ed my Bora 1.9 130 TDI Highline for a 2015 Golf 1.0 TSI Bluemotion (hopefully for the better) was just wondering if anyone's got one of the 1.0 TSI Golf's, that could share any thoughts on them (good or bad). I have done some internet search's for reviews and video's, and they seem to be pretty good ,but would welcome some proper thoughts on what owners think.I have discovered that earlier TSI units had problems with the timing chain ,but have read that this has now been rectified on later models ,and does not apply to this particular 1.0 TSI engine (so I am told), would I be right in this assumption. looking forward to hearing from any…

anyone tried to fit an LED headlamp bulb conversion to these cars? I bought a set off Amazon ( fits most cars!) LOL, unfortunately I found our cars dont have same arrangement as most others & the bulbs are held in a plastic thing that acts as a connector too so cant see how to fit my LEDs! Anybody come up with any way to do this?
