Hi guys have a problem with rear lights I turn them on with the switch and then they come on then turn off within 5 secs I have replaced the headlight switch which operates the lights and still the same any help

I own a 2010 vw passat, I have 2 car keys for this car, On one key the car opens but does'nt lock, the other key locks but does'nt open....How can i fix this ?

Hi, I am looking for some advice pretty urgently. I have a Passat CC 2.0 TDI DSG which I have owned for 2 years now, covered 30k miles so far. It was a business owned company car prior to my ownership so has full service history, main dealer and has had no expense spared. She's now sat at 200k and last week returning home I noticed a violent juddering coming from the front end when joining the motorway, it's never been there before. Proud owner of B5.b 4 motion 2003. My ABS is disconnected due to fault. Of course those 2 lights come up to dashboard and MOT guys did not like it. Would some of you suggest a different solution from replacing ABS or dismantling the dashboard to switch them off, please? I thought of maybe some pin bridging in the cable which is now disconnected from ABS. Thanks and best. Joe

Hope someone can please help my dpf light keeps comming on I have had it regenerated about 20 times no fault codes I have had a company come and clean it (£270) have replaced the top sensor and it’s still comming on and going into limp mode would a new dpf sort this once and for all the car is a 13 reg blue motion tdi 140000 miles I love the car and don’t want to get rid of it but am proper fed up with it now cherrs

My 2002 1.9 tdi 130 sport Passat passed an MOT in Nov 2020 and was fully serviced Feb 2021. However, when I drive on an uneven road, the off side rear suspension 'bangs' or 'thud' to me appropriate but nothing was found on the MOT or service. More recently, even slight movement on the road sounds like two chipmunks are squabbling in the boot. Does anyone have any idea as to what is failing and might need replacing? The springs are not too old so I think i can discount them.

need help my 2ltr diesel bluemotion passat it takes 5 times to start the car and its under warranty any hints garage said battery is ok and they found petrol in the diesel but that would not cause it not to start car has alway ran ok its just the starting issue garage is reluctant to change parts to see if the one on car is faulty

Hi need help whit samthing...I got 2012 vw cc 2.0 tdi....had starting problem....after scanning shows crankshaft and camshaft sensors are bad...after replacing them now car has engine light on and spiral sing flashing and reduced power....so replaced again because that sensor were faulty but still have same problem...any one have any experience would appreciate for help

Hi I'm new to the forum so if this topic has been extensively covered I'm sorry. I've just bought a 2007 VW Passat TDI sport estate. When you start it up from cold it's a bit lumpy at idle, but the when it's been left to warm up it's smells quiet bad, like a really old burnt out engine. It'll tickover nicely when warm but there seems to be a lot of black / grey smoke coming out the exhaust. Are these signs of a blocked up EGR valve or something else. Please help, I've only just bought the car and I just hope it's not a lemon cheers Gary 😂

Hi Simple question hopefully. I loaded about 125kg of sand into the boot of my car. Is this a safe load for the rear suspension? There was nothing else in the car other than me, and I am only about 75kg. Just a bit concerned it seemed lower the next day, although could be imagining that. Have struggled to work out what the car can take from the manual. Any feedback would be appreciated. Many thanks

My passat has trouble opening the central locking. The garage replaced key 12 months ago. The key has now intermittently stopped unlocking ( locks ok) but I can unlock it using the other key. a garage reported that the alternate key had failed yo unlock for him . he used the backup method of opening the door. The new key cost £400 + service charge to register it to the car. Is this a common problem? any DIY method of fixing?

The connection on the turbo boost hose to the intercooler has failed again. The x2 holding lugs to the intercooler connection clip does not hold the hose in position. This is the third hose failure which happens around every 50,000mls. Is there an upgraded clip or other modification available?

Hi all - I’m new to the forum and grateful to have found you. I’m hoping to get some advice. Passenger door window on my 55 Reg B6 doesn’t move up or down. (securely stuck in up position) There is power to the motor from driver and passenger door switches as heard by the “click” when pressed. My suspicions are that it is the motor that is faulty and not anything to do with the tracking, cables or regulator. Question:- Can I replace the motor in its place without having to remove the whole metal panel and its components. Are there any risks to the window dropping / smashing if I remove the motor without securing the window first. Any other things I should lo…

Hi I have a 2.0 litre diesel 2018 plate with a DSG gear box. I had the mechatronic box replaced in Nov-23 and last year I started to notice it was occasionally "slipping" between 2nd and 3rd gears i.e. revving well over 2000 (it would normally changed 2nd to 3rd at about 2000 revs). Some times it would change automatically after the high revs, some times I would slow down and it would then change. I had never paid attention to the rev's before I had the fault that resulted in the new mechatronic (that was a complete failure with no warning, leaving me with just 2,4 and 6th gears). Good morning any one question i am due to drive to spain via france i am in uk at the moment therefor i have to sort my headlights out so i can drive on the lhs iam reading my owners manual and it states if i am driving through europe i need to go to the onboard menu and sellect travel mode what does this do i asume switches the lights over for lhd ??? if not can any one suggest what i can use i.e. stick a couple of strips of gaffa tap over my lights as the lenses are plactic regards Barry

VW Passat Estate 2015 - hi, Tyre pressure warning light came on my dash....Center console screen is showing no value for the front right tyre. Initially i assumed it would be sensor or it's battery has failed, but after getting 2 front tyres fitted....the guys checked with their TPMS Tool and said all sensors are good. Worth mentioning that the warning light flashes on start up then eventually goes solid. Diagnostic check shows faulty front right sensor (not communicating) Does anyone have any experience with this ? My thoughts are maybe it's a faulty receiver but why just 1 sensor not reporting back ? Any advise would be great.

I have a 51 plate 1.9 tdi pd 130. there is a lack of power and when it hits a certain rev in every gear it drops 50% power. turn ignition off and back back on and the same rubbish power is back( to original low power). any ideas folks? mate said it may be the EGR valve. clues please folks. regards and thank you
