Hello guys, I recently purchased a VW Touran 2014 model - Petrol (IT3) and it is a Japanese import. I did not get the manual with it and do not have service history on it. I would like to know if it comes with a timing belt or a timing chain. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks

I am retired in Spain. I have just purchased a 2014 Touran 2.0 TDI. it has come to me with no books at all. I have asked the dealer (main dealer in Malaga) for the Service book but a handbook from him is of little use as my Spanish will not be up to it. Any ideas where I can get an English language handbook ? VW customer service (UK) are ignorant and don't even answer my e-mails.

Hi guys I’m currently wanting to do back box delete on my touran 1t3 2.0. but when I’m looking online the descriptions don’t say if it’s for 1t3 or 1t1 are the exhausts just the same on years 03-15? cheers

Hi All, I am after some help. I've just bought a 2010 touran match with sat nav and I'd like to change it from working in kilometres to miles and can't find any way of changing it and as yet haven't got a handbook for the car. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone kindly give me some Advice please , last night got to the shops and I could not take they key out of the ignition it would not release or switch the engine off I could not turn it , however after a bit of jigery pokery I managed to switch it off without breaking the key Now i Went my mechanic and when i got there he could not stop the car or take the key out but again after some jigery pokery managed to get it out and he care fully put some WD40 in the barrel and it seemed to workl ! Hi guys. Have not long bought a 2011 1.4 tsi. I want to upgrade it a little. Does any one know if the back box for a mk5 or 6 1.4 tsi exhaust fit? Looking at pictures of both it looks like they are similar but would they have the same hangers etc? Also will other parts fit off them like induction kits etc. Just looking for people experience before I got researching! Thanks guys!

My key fob is dead, replaced battery, still doesn't work. Does anyone know whether it is possible to use this key and drive the car without the alarm going off? The manual doesn't seem to cover the eventuality of a completely dead key fob.

I have just bought a Vw Touran 2008 . Do all the seats fold completelt flat on this model ? Or do just the last row ,and the the second row just fold flatter but not completly flat ?. Does the front passenger seat fold flat or forward ? I would appreciate any help regarding this thanks Peter

Hi, Can anyone offer advice on how to sort out a problem with our cabin fan switch. We have had our Touran since 2012 when I retired, we have done a lot of miles touring in it, and it's been fantastic. We have always had it serviced by the main dealer and had them sort out any niggles. As it is getting a bit old we have decided that the main dealer prices are a bit disproportionate to its value now but it has developed a fault which I suspect may be a main dealer job and would like a bit of advice before splashing out for that. Hi all, looking for a little advice, my Son has bought a 2010 1.6 Touran (Diesel) had it for around 3 months, the Car has developed a few issues recently, ie: Lack of power, his wife broke down travelling to relatives down south last week and had to call the AA, when he arrived he plugged in to the diagnostic socket it showed an EGR Fault which he cleared and said a sensor was at fault(cheap fix he said)and sent Her on Her way, however on the return journey the fault occurred again, She managed to limp home and took the Car to a local garage, they did not have a clue and said it could be a valve or electrics. I have recently purchased a 2017 Touran SE Family. As you will know, there is a digital clock display in front of the driver in the display area. However, there is no clock display for the passengers UNLESS you have the infotainment switched on... Wifey has to turn the infotainment on each time she wants to see the time, or she has to ask me, which gets a bit tedious after a while. I’m sure this is the only car that I have owned which does not have a clock display of some sort visible for the passengers. Can anyone please tell me how to remove the tailgate trim from a VW Touran 2006. Starting with the lower section Ive taken out the screws in the recess handles and a lot of the clips will come away but there still seems to be something holding it in place?

Just got a 2023 plate Touran SE Family and getting to grips with it. Having gone through the tortuous process of moving SayNav favourites from a TomTom to the in-built system (Navigation system "Discover Media" incl. Streaming & Internet) I notice that when I display them then they are in a funny order. I was rather hoping they would be in alphabetical order, but, oh no! Guessing they might be in order they were input, but not sure. Anyway, the question is can I get the system to display A-Z or am I stuck with them like this?

wonder if anyone can help me please I have a vw touran sport is it the pd engine I've been told 05 plate . It started running lumpy so the aa came out and without checking anything he said it was a burnt valve ??? Then another garage told me it's the injector seals ??? Then I've not been convinced I've look up YouTube etc about checking the air mass sensor so I brought a new one fitted it and it seems like the mass sensor isn't doing a thing same symptoms plugged and unplugged is there a fuse to this ?
