Hi there ladies and gents, I'm trying to run a microphone through the aux connection on my sharan.. it works but there is a horrible delay on the system as I think its getting processed through the onboard computer. is there any way to have another way to fit the aux... maybe direct link to a channel of some kind on the ba k of the head unit? I want to run my tablet and aux at the same time. I know I can't use Bluetooth and aux at the same time but I do have a mixed and had planned to run both through the aux. I have just brought a VW Sharan, 2014 Diesel Automatic. The problem I have is that the vents on the driver side blows hot all the time. Even when I set the temp to 'Lo' and put the A/C on. The passenger side works perfectley. Any suggestions ? Thank you.

Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying a 2014 model which has sports seats (SEL Tech ). What does that mean exactly, are they firmer than normal seats? Do they have lumber support adjustment? Also how do you know if the car has adaptive suspension? Thanks for any advice on these subjects or anything useful to know before I buy.

Hi, all I've recently bought a 2010 Sharan 1.4 tsi. It's a Japanese import & in, apparently, great condition. I love it. . Previously I've owned an Alhambra & a Galaxy. The VW seems better than both though a more recent model. I want to replace the head unit/ infotainment system as the original unit has been removed by the dealer, I'm guessin, & replaced with a cheapie android 9" unit. This is ok but not as easy to use as previous systems I've owned. Also the sound similarly isn't as good. Question being; do I try to buy a VW system similar to the factory fitted one, (RNS 510 or better), or something like a pioneer head unit? I like to play CD's oc…

Evening all I've recently brought a 2005 Sharan and just wanted to know if there are any of suspension upgrades that can be done to them other than lowering springs? Are there any companies that make uprated bushes or anything? Also I'm looking to fit a set of 17inch 2005 Passat wheels to it with and ET of 37. The wheels on my car are ET59 I think. Has anyone done this to there car and is there anything I need to look out for? Cheers

I'm debating whether to get a petrol Sharan. I had a diesel Sharan that I bought just as the emissions scandal came out. I swore I'd never buy another VW diesel but we loved the Sharan. Is the Petrol Sharan a reasonable option?

I have a 2010 sharan which has the old version of the adblue system. A while ago when I drove 30 miles or so a light came on, I had it fault read & it said addictive tank empty so I had it filled up, the light is continuing to come on despite the tank bring full & now it comes on after 9 or so miles. Do any of you know what might be the problem? thanks

I got my Sharan June 2023 and really like it, apart from the dipped headlights. I have fitted +200 lights from Halford, they give a bright light but are no better on the distance they light. I can't fit LEDs. Any suggestions please?

Hi all, New to this forum so apologies if this has been asked before. Just purchased a 2016 Sharan 150 Nav. Tried to connect my phone to use the Appleplay feature through App-Connect only to find out it needs an activation code from my local VW dealer. I phoned them and was told it would cost £250 for this code which seems to be quite an expensive option. Does this sound about right? Has anyone managed to do this without having to use a main dealer? Thanks in advance for any help.

Dropped the engine under-tray today to change the engine oil and filter and noticed a slight oil leak coming from the small end cap just below the gearbox filler. Does anyone know if this cap can be replaced externally or will it involve being fitted from inside the gearbox which means a strip down. 2016 2.0Ltr Tdi 6 speed manual NFZ box Thanks in advance.

The central locking on my Sharan 04 plate has stopped working. The drivers door is stuck in the locked position while all other doors will not lock with the fob. Meanwhile the mechanism sounds like its whirring and the hazard lights flash continually. I am having to disconnect the battery so it doesn't drain, and also so that the car is disabled considering I cannot lock it securely. Any ideas as to the root if this problem please?

Hi, I'm currently selling my Sharan - it's on Auto Trader and Gumtree, and all I've had is a tonne of absolute chancers - tyre kickers and rude offers! So my question is: is there anywhere better than Auto Trader and Gumtree? Or are the chancers, time wasters and tyre kickers just a fact of life that I need to get over? Any tips greatly welcomed! Hi I am a new member to this site and require some help on a DRL light issue. I have replaced the DRL bulb on the right hand side of my 2014 Sharan, and all worked well. I now have an issue with the bulb not working, dashboard warning and left side working OK. I have checked the bulb and all is OK, I have cleaned the connectors and still cannot get working. Has anyone else had this issue and what was the fix ? Could you please help, Thanks in advance

I have just got the other half a 2012 vw sharan. We did have a 2001 Ford galaxy ( vw sharan / seat Alhambra) vw 17" skoda Octavia vrs alloys with a et54. I've looked at 17's for the sharan but says et39. My question is will the et54 fit fine or stick out to far?

I have an issue, or think i might have.. I bought a 2015 Sharan Bluemotion a year ago. 74K miles, done 82k miles now. I have never added Adblue to the car yet and never had any warning either till now. Can the warning be turned off, wondering if this was done at some point. Any ideas..?

I was driving last night on a 20mph zone and all of a sudden without warning, the engine of my vw sharan 2016 model shut down. I tried starting it several times, but without success, no noise whatsoever, no cranking, dead silent. After several attempts to start the engine without success, I had to take the car home on a breakdown recovery truck. In addition, the car has a problem of dpf filter showing amber light in the dashboard and the battery is a new one, just two weeks old. What might be the cause?

Can anyone help me please. I have a bag of spanners otherwise known as a 2013 VW Sharan 1.9 TDI Bluemotion I've had a horrible vibration through the steering wheel and up through the seats for ages . It started out of nowhere and now won't go away. I've replaced all 4 tyres and had them balanced and tracked. I've had the alignment done. I've had new lower suspension arms (wishbones), I've had new drive shafts (O/s & N/s), I've had new discs front and new pads all round. My 60 reg Sharan has been back and forwards to the garage, the Adblu pump then heater were diagnosed as the issue….is my heater covered under the emissions warranty? Can anyone help?
