Hi Just purchased my first VW. It's a Golf mark 5 1.9tdi match 08. Seller told me to remapp as he has done it on his wife's Audi with same engine. He said big lift in BHP and fuel economy. Well worth doing. Can anyone give advice on pros and cons as I don't want to do something to car that may damage it or have no affect. Thanks Alan

Hello Polo Members. I have a 57 plate, 5 door Polo and I need to remove the drivers door inner skin to inspect/remove the window regulator module. I have had a go by removing the 3 screws at the bottom. All the plastic popper fixings seem to have come apart okay. Not sure how to tackle the top door release with mirror switch and the lower grab handle with window switch.?? Can anyone advise please, I would be grateful. Thanks Reggie

  5. I recently bought a 13 plate 2.0 TDI GT 150, 5 door automatic... I'm looking at getting it remapped. Has anybody else on here remapped their Golf GT (150 bhp) ? Cheers, Ben

  6. Hi all, I'm thinking of fitting power folding mirrors to my Amarok. Currently they manually fold but are electrically adjustable and heated. Do I need to run new wires or will the required cabling exist in the loom of the vehicle? Obviously I appreciate I will need to change the mirror mechanisms and the switch. Thanks in advance. Dan

Hi All, I’m new to the forum but on my 5th VW. The latest being a rather lovely kingfisher blue Arteon Shooting Brake. Loving the car but I have an issue with the adaptive cruise and the road sign system. Basically when the cruise is on and it reads a sign, let’s say 50mph for example, it adjusts the speed to 31mph (50kmh) which is annoying at best and borderline dangerous at times. Is there a simple fix for this that I’m missing or is it a full dealer job? Thanks in advance Mick

Hello. I've a water leak in boot of my new shape 2011 sharan. I've stripped the boot out but can't trace the source. Water builds up in the box section where the boot lock latches onto and eventually, over time, the water spills out of 4 or so holes towards the underside of the box section and pours into the boot. I've checked the rear vents behind the bumper but these sit lower than the box section and as far as I can tell the water still builds up when the car has been left for a while so I dont think any water that may be getting through the vents is cascading up and over into the box section. I've also had new rear number plate lights sealed and fitted. Any suggestio…

Hi, I have a VW Caddy transformed to carry a disable person at the rear, I understand the car was lowered to be able to be transformed, but as now is a bit low, every time I pass over a "street hump" the chassis is touching the tarmac, I heard that I could fit "Suspension Air Kit" so I come to you guys to if this would be a solution to increase the gap between the chassis and the road surface and if so which ones should I get? Thanks for the attention

I have a 2011 2.0 SA match Tiguan an on Friday the cam belt went. It has 76,000 on the clock and was due a cam belt change but just hadn't got round to it. VW have investigated the reason for the Cam belt failure and it was the water pump and although I have extended warranty on the car the warranty company are saying as I missed the replacement interval for the belt they won't honour it. i am currently in dispute as I have said that as the water pump was the root cause this should be covered, any thoughts? i have had a quote of £1350 for a reconditioned engine and wondered if anyone could give me an idea what it might cost to swap over. suffice t…

Hi all, Just bought myself a 2009 Touareg V6 Altitude model that has the RNS510 and "Premium Telephone Preperation". Went to pair my phone with it. It sees and identifies my Huawei P10 phone (although the VW bluetooth doesn't appear on my phone when it searches). I click on it to connect and after a while it comes back and says "phone not compatible". I tried the same thing with a friends iphone 6 and I get the same problem. Now, I don't want to go back to an old phone just to have handsfree in the car, so I wondered if I can just change the bluetooth module or upgrade the firmware on the module. The module fitted is a novero part number 5N0 035 730 C. Attached is a…

  16. Hi guys. 2mths ago my bke engine siezed after the turbo blew and emptied the sump in less than 300 yards. I have installed a bkc engine out of a 55 plate A3. "my car is an 08 plate touran. The garage are having problems as the car is stuck in limp mode. Its showing a crank senor error. Due to this the car is hard to start and when started will not go over 3000rpm. Is it because this older type engine uses a crank sensor the tourans computer is not compatable with or cannot understand the reading the crank sensor is sending back to it? Really stuck in a rock and a hard place here as they dont know what to do next. The car had a stage 1" tune months before the turbo failure…

Hi everyone. Hoping to get some advice about the turbo system on my car. It's a 2005 1.9 TDi PD SE touran. The car would run fine for a mile or two then it'd be like the turbo had stopped working. Just no power at all. Switch off and it'd be ok for a mile or so then it'd happen again. I suspected MAP sensor as something was obviously resetting when it was switched off. After a week or so the emissions workshop light came on so I asked a friend to read it for me. Plugged into reader and it came back, from what I can remember, turbo pressure or something along those lines. Turned out that when I took turbo off the shaft had movement in it so I replaced the full unit. The car …

  21. New to this but I’ve had to replace my 4 injectors as the their either dead or near to death as their the cars on 174000miles. When I looked at the part number on my old injectors, they were of 04L not 03L. The picture is of the injector which came out my car. I rang a breakers yard and they told me it’s the wrong injector and that my code is 03L. I’ve ordered a new set of injectors with which are the same as the picture below but I’m concerned due to also checking online that they are not meant for mine but were working perfectly for the however long I’ve owned the car. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi I have a 2007 VW golf plus with 120000 miles on the clock. The clutch pedal is on the floor. I can pull it back into position and it initially seems OK. I can place it into gear and it starts to drive. If I try to use the clutch pedal again it goes to the floor and does not come back up and I cannot disengage the gear. Is it a master or slave cylinder problem
