  1. Hello, I am selling my 2000 reg diesel silver 1.9 GT TDI MK4 Golf. She has done a lot of mileage at c. 234,000, but she is still going strong. It's a 6 speed gear box. The turbo has slowed down power wise, and it needs cleaning out, as stated by my mechanic. Internal wear and tear but the body is in very good condition with only a little rust on the bottom of the driver's door. I loved this car; the only reason I am selling is I bought another petrol car for a very good deal (petrol is more economical for me now, as city driving rather than long distance). I would break her as she would make a fair bit in parts, but I just simply don't have the time or space to do so. MOTd until May this year and currently declared as SORN. So, for this reason and for quick sale, I am asking for £400 ONO. Only sensible, serious offers please. This is a good bargain due to the demand and profit that could be made on silver MK4 parts. For more images, or questions, please let me know. Manchester area.

  5. Good Morning, I have just purchased a second hand Jetta, I am very happy with it, Its been over 25 years since last owning a VW, I had a very old 1967 Bettle love it, but sold it to go travelling many years ago. I am pleased I have found this site, as there is not much local info on VW here in Australia, ie forums or groups/ clubs,( that I have found anyway). A little info on the Jetta, Its a 2006 FSI 2.0 Auto, 93000k on the clock, I have just had it serviced and the Mechanic is very impressed with the condition of the car, previous owner was a friend of mine who looked after it very well, It was a good buy at a good price. Its now due to have the Timing Belt and water pump done, I am just wondering if anyone can advise me of the part number for the timing belt, and which would be the best brand to fit. I have tried to google the parts but come up with many different types etc, I am now so totally confused. My mechanic is happy if I can get the part, and he will fit it for me, ( Save $$) Apparently the coolant has to be done as well?? Not sure if this sounds right or not, but I do know its better to do the water pump at the same time as the timing belt, Your replies would be much appreciated and I look forward to informative information and enjoying being a member, Happy days ahead. Regards Aussielf

  7. Hi, My 2012, 2ltr Bluemotion Passat DSG has recently started to give me some gear selection problems. Basically it is an occasional problem, where ,after starting the car ,it is extremely difficult to move the gear selector leaver out of the Park position. It requires extreme force to move the leaver into drive. My vehicle is still under warranty but before taking it into the local dealer, I wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar problem. Would be grateful for any info. on this problem ,as it is very inconvenient to get to the dealer. Thanks Marsh
