Buying Spark Plugs for my Daughters Polo 1.0 L I've seen Hella for £3, which seems to cheap ! Magnetti are a Fiver, but should I be looking at other makes ? What is the benefit of Copper or Nickel Electrodes ? Cheers

Quick update, I bought a Bosch Battery from Tanya at £85, 4 year g'ntee.

To be honest I've no idea, but there are a lot of variables. Are you doing the work yourself, where about in the Country are you, what quality parts etc. I would suggest searching a couple of online suppliers, see what work is involved and get a couple of quotes from local garages.

Thanks for that. Yuasa, Exide or Varta seem to be about the best, Price / Pound as it where ? Cheaper ones seem to be own brand type and others seem to be a lot more expensive.

My Daughters 1.0 L Polo needs a Battery. It is a Stop-Start and currently has an AGM Battery. Halfords list both AGM and EFB for this model. EFB seem to be cheaper with more choice. Does it matter what type I fit ? I used a standard Lead Acid on Wife's Nissan and that works fine, but she does not use the Stop/Start function. Random info' ! Thanks

Bit late I know. But I removed battery to replace water pump and screen stopped playing up when reconnected. Battery reset or luck ? 🤔

My Daughter has a 2018 Polo SE, recently the nav screen has started freezing and image jumping around. Is this a known problem or could it be a software issue ? Thanks

To conclude this thread. Turns out the pump had packed up. It was a bit of a pig to get at, the last nut being pretty inaccessible, but actually changing the pump was straightforward. New pump £90 from Vw, local 'factor had one in stock, £14. Job done, in the rain but now we can see where we going !

Just about to refill the coolant on 2018 Polo 1.0L. According to Halfords it should be G40 then I spot on the expansion tank G13. Will G40 do ?

I'm fairly sure I've seen this on the Forum previously but can't find it now. We have a 2018 Polo and the washers have stopped working, fluid topped up. The handbook does not show fuse position and I can't see any diagram on the lids. Does anyone know which fuse it is or where I can find a clear diagram ?

Does anyone know coolant capacity of 1.0 L 2018 Polo. Handbook does not say, but is at pains to warn me not to overfill ! Also, the G40 coolant is available ready mixed from Halfords. Do I assume it has the required distilled water and does it really have to be distilled ? Thanks

Don't know if they cover Vw but I use a site called CalVIN for Landrover chassis enquiries. But you could just try your local Vw dealer. I collected some parts for my Daughters Polo and ask them to confirm engine size as some ViN searches had it listed as a 1.2. They gave me a 3 page print out of the vehicle build details.

Thanks. I am keeping it at the top of the lower indent for now. It was serviced by VW last year, so was thinking of asking them. But I fear they will say bring it in then charge for the experience.
