  1. Hi all hoping someone here maybe able to point me in the right direction. I have a B7 2011 VW Passat Bluemotion TDI. A few weeks back I had an error message come up on the info screen saying TPMS fault, system unavailable along with the permanent yellow TPMS light on the dash. Since then I have also had the coil light on (which i believe is just engine management), stop/start error along with other various lights from time to time (ABS, TCS, Parking brake light - all in yellow) On scanning the car with Delphi OBD scanner software it said that the brake light switch signal is implausible-fault intermittent (think the code was J502) So I have changed the brake light switch but this hasn't resolved the issue. On another scan when I had all the TCS, ABS lights on it registered a fault with right rear ABS sensor - fault intermittent. That has since been changed but again not resolved the faults. The OBD also says that the fault with the TPMS is permanent. I have tried a variety of things suggested on VW forums but nothing seems to work. WIth the laptop plugged into the OBD socket on the car it shows that I am getting a signal from all 4 ABS sensors whilst driving. Also the car doesn't have pressure sensors in the tyre valves - it is the system that uses the ABS sensors to detect a change. So after changing right rear ABS sensor and brake light switch on master cylinder the fault still exists even though the fault code says implausible signal from the brake light switch. What else could be the problem coding error/electrical wiring fault?) - has anyone come across this themselves or know if this is a common fault please.
