Jon Kasey Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 I was driving last night on a 20mph zone and all of a sudden without warning, the engine of my vw sharan 2016 model shut down. I tried starting it several times, but without success, no noise whatsoever, no cranking, dead silent. After several attempts to start the engine without success, I had to take the car home on a breakdown recovery truck. In addition, the car has a problem of dpf filter showing amber light in the dashboard and the battery is a new one, just two weeks old. What might be the cause?
Volkswagen Owners Club Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 I would firstly check the battery terminals are tight and then if you can get it started then give it a good hard run to clear the DPF
