Volkswagen Owners Club
Hi...welcome to the Forum the 1.4 TSi is quite a reliable engine if its maintained regularly and not thrashed too much....also very economical Keep us informed of how you get on with the purchase and what you think of it once you've driven it enough. Cheers Trevor
Ray48
I've had a 1.4tsi for 18 months now since new. I have found it reliable so far and pretty nifty. The only problem I am experiencing is with the start/stop system which seems to have stopped working. My VW dealer keeps saying there's nothing wrong with it. Apart from the fact it don't work that is. On-going saga.
Volkswagen Owners Club
Maybe best to switch off the function if its causing problems....?
Mikeyd1
Update the car is fantastic. My only thing is the radiator fan has some how unclip it's self and was rattling and the fan blade was hitting the air con pipe
