gateway module not responding

Good morning in located in Trinidad. my 2010 Passat gateway module is not responding. so ABS and EP brake not working along with many other problems but these are the main issues. i have tried many mechanics who claim to be specialized but i feel like they are scamming me. i need to learn about my vehicle so i can do my own repairs when needed. please help me!

It is worth checking the ABS sensors to ensure they are functioning correctly as this can cause a similar issue.
Scan for fault codes as this will direct you more specifically to a fault within the vehicle
