Polo spluttering on pull off

Hello, I need some advice. I have a 2002 polo petrol. When I pull off from a stand still my car splutters and is reluctant to accelerate. Once im moveing and change up gear problem seems to go away. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I would check for a vacuum leak as this could cause the symptoms you describe.
Listen for any hissing under the bonnet
