Neil123 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 HI all newbie here, not new to the VW brand though, I have a strange issue where the instrument cluster/clocks lost power this morning after the car was left for a week. I removed the clocks and split them apart, noticed some residue across the PCB so cleaned that off with solvent cleaner and allowed to dry. Refitted the clocks together, refitted to the car they came back to life briefly then turned off, so repeated the process and they stayed on for the whole of a 20 mins drive but didn't power back up when I got back in after refuelling. The car drives the same, I've scanned with VCDS and there are no faults at all. ???? Completely at a loss, I've just been back out and removed the clocks and refitted, they powered up but shut off after a few mins. like there is a short or something??
Volkswagen Owners Club Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Here's a lead for repairing the panel....seems common fault with these https://cartronix.co.uk/product/vw-touran-instrument-cluster-dash-repair/
