clutch pedal

hi,my golf 1.6 petrol 08 .57.000mls.the clutch pedal is down when iget in i pull it up by hand and runs away no probs changing gear,sometimes the pedal fall halfway ,but i can flick it up with foot and runs away perfectly,anythoughts.thankyou

Hi...welcome to the Forum

Common problem with the plastic automatic pedal adjustment ratchet and pawl.

Replacement ones are cheap but be prepared to spend some time under the dash
