Using a Tom Tom sat nav in e-hybrid 2023 Touareg R

Hi, new here and recently bought a 2023 Touareg e-hybrid R.

I tow a large caravan and find the standard satnav in the car doesn't allow entry for size, weight etc.

My Tom Tom Go Live 1005 Camper Caravan has always worked in prevoius cars (Disco etc) but in Touareg it doesn't pick up satellites.  If I stand outside the car and hold device it finds loads!

Any idea what I need to do to resolve.

Maybe try an external aerial
