westyscot Posted August 27 Share Posted August 27 Hi there, thanks for the add. Just bought a beautiful R-Line , 2016 with 65K. Love it. The RNS 850 unit has the original SD card with 2016 maps. Local VW dealer says I will need new SD card plus a dealer activation. likely to cost £500-£600 😲. Am thinking would be way cheaper and would give me more apps and other benefits to go for an aftermarket unit, which would have the benefit of internet uploads of maps.
