Hi folks, 

New to this forum. My mk7 2017 facelift Golf has developed a strange USB issue. When I plug an Android phone in it randomly tells me "Failed to connect to USB". It does work sometimes but often fails. For instance if using Google Maps it can disconnect. 

I've changed the phone from a Motorola to a Google Pixel and have used 3 separate Type C cables but the problem is still there.

This only started to happen at the start of the year. The socket rarely gets unplugged so wear and tear would be unlikely.

Has anybody experienced this? It isn't the end of the world but I was hoping for a nice cheap fix.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)

  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
