Phil D Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Hi folks, New to this forum. My mk7 2017 facelift Golf has developed a strange USB issue. When I plug an Android phone in it randomly tells me "Failed to connect to USB". It does work sometimes but often fails. For instance if using Google Maps it can disconnect. I've changed the phone from a Motorola to a Google Pixel and have used 3 separate Type C cables but the problem is still there. This only started to happen at the start of the year. The socket rarely gets unplugged so wear and tear would be unlikely. Has anybody experienced this? It isn't the end of the world but I was hoping for a nice cheap fix. Thanks Phil
Volkswagen Owners Club Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Sounds like it could be a firmware or software update is required for the audio system to enable the Aux to be used Alternatively will the phone not connect via bluetooth?
