Touran 2014 model - 103KW/140hp - Timing Belt or Chain

Hello guys,

I recently purchased a VW Touran 2014 model - Petrol (IT3) and it is a Japanese import. I did not get the manual with it and do not have service history on it. I would like to know if it comes with a timing belt or a timing chain.

Best to put your registration number in EuroCarParts website and see which option it gives you - chain or belt
Very accurate and do that each time I want to know which it is

Hi Admin. I tried with my reg number but EuroCarParts does not recognize the reg as it is a Japan Import. I then put all the details of the car e.g. make, model, year, fuel etc and it gave me an option for timing chain but there was no option to select the timing belt. I guess it means that my car has got a timing chain.
