Is coding required when front camera is replaced?

Hi all:

my front lane assist camera on my vw golf GTD mk7.5 is faulty. I just bought a new one to replace it. Will it need coding when I install it? If so does anyone have the correct steps to do this using VCDS?

I don't believe it will need coding if it is a direct replacement part
The only time it would be necessary is if it is part of the ADAS system on the windscreen and then it would need to be calibrated
