passat 2003 2.0l petrol won't fire.

I have a 2016 Passat SE TD Business 2016 Estate Car. A friend who frequently travels in my car has suffered a concussion incident recently that may have caused a brain injury. She reports that she is badly affected by a side to side rocking motion which she likens to a rocking boat. Also that my car is shaken by almost every bump on an uneven road surface and she feels it badly. I also feel it, but I am not shaken and to me it is just part of the normal process of the suspension absorbing the shocks from the uneven surface. Hi all. Odd problem with a Passat B7 1.6Tdi Bluemotion 2012. Symptoms: Traveling at a steady ~50 on a clear road. Glowplug indicator started flashing and car went into limp mode. Got to where we were going and restarted a few hours later: Car seemed fine. Booked it in to be looked at. (Independent VW specialist) He did an ODB scan and advised he saw “Low manifold pressure” (from memory) which suggested air leak in the intake system He checked hoses, ducts and pipework and found no problem. 2016 Passat 1.6 diesel auto. When I start a journey with aircon on and fan blowing all is ok. After about 50 miles the flow gets weaker, and after 80 miles or so, I have it cranked over to full speed fan, and hardly anything is coming out the vents. Any suggestions?

Hi, hope someone can help me with this one. I have a 2018 2.0l TDI Passat with a DSG box. The service intervals are set to fixed servicing. The problem is, I am getting no where near a year or the 10k miles. It is currenty asking for a service at around 6 to 7k miles. Can I get this changed to flexible serving and use long life oil? I do roughly about 15k per year with mixed driving. Cheers

We are looking for help for a continuing issue with our VW Passat GTE Hybrid 1.4 2021 reg. Since we have owned it, just 12 months, it has had a recurring issue with the Braking and has been into the dealership a few times to get it checked and every time it has been 'we cant find anything wrong'.I have several very close encounters with pedestrians and being unable to stop at low speed when the vehicle continues to drive/drag forward. 2002 passat check engine light on and we have to turn over twice before it starts. EVAC and emission. Repair shop said it's going to cost $1000 for the hoses alone. Is this generally the cost of hoses. My goodness.

Hi - when turning a corner yesterday there was a slight noise from steering column area and all the steering wheel electrical controls failed - air bag light error, no horn, no computer control, no stereo volume control. I assume this is a fuse blown but which one and where?? And any ideas on what might have caused this fault? The rest of the car works fine..

Hi All. My 2002 2ltr petrol with 56k on the clock has always been well looked after runs quietly and without issues but now has just stopped. It turns over but will not start. Had the AA out to it and for two hours they could not get it going although they did establish that no power was getting to the fuel pump and it was a bit disconcerting to watch him bashing the relays. Car hasn't been used a lot in the last year until the last three months when 1k has been put on. Car is pretty much mint and has never let me down and main dealer serviced. Just dont want to go down the road of replacing exspensive items when I feel it is something simple, I hope. Any help o…

Hi, My parking pilot system is playing up. Sometimes it works, others it just beeps at me, the screen says its not available and the light indicator near the gear stick flashes. Its been to a garage today to check it out, and they've determined the front nearside sensor is faulty and needs replacing. Over £250 for the work! Had a look online and a sensor is around £15. So, does anybody have any info on how you get that faulty one out, new one in, and any other reset-electrical works i need to do to resovle this? Thanks in advance

Hi Have trouble with son’s VW Passat 2011 saloon 2 ltr tdi Bluemotions rear o/s abs sensor……Information supplied to supplier Reg & Vin number , received black sensor where as one on vehicle is grey…..is this detrimental to abs operation? VW Passat Estate B6 As the MOT was due soon, I decided to check all the brake pads. The front had plenty of wear left although the wear limit warning cable had broken, so I ‘snipped’ it off as it was not part of any management system other than a warning on the dash. I will replace the front pads when necessary, complete with its wear limit warning cable. The rear pads were quite worn, so I decided they needed attention. I replaced the rear pads and drove quite happily for a couple of days using the electric handbrake where needed. I have 2003 passat 1.9 tdi not 100 sure on model etc that i have as im not so clued up on vws. Im changing alternator and wondered if any one had a guide/maual or step by step instructions. Tools needed etc etc.

On checking the outside temperature display on the car, it is showing 60 degrees Celsius! id there any way to reset or do I need to replace the sensor? if I need to replace the sensor, can it be done by myself? Or is it better for a garage to do it? thanks in advance for all help!

Having seen that water leaks are common on Passat's I have carried out the recommended actions on my 2004 car and cleaned out the drain hole and replaced the seal around the filter house. Next is to dry out the carpets. I am reluctant to disturb the CCM box as the only issue with the car is the central locking which only works with the manual door lock and the drivers door interior light is not working. Any suggestions please, can I make things worse by touching it and can the current faults be something else within the door CL system. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi, I’m having trouble changing the reversing bulb on the boot lid of my 2014 vw Passat estate. I remove the whole unit. Can access and remove both the brake light and light bulbs, however I can’t access the reversing bulb. Does anyone know how to do this please? Thank you
