Hi, any opinion would be appreciated. A few months ago my 2006 Touran's had a clutch and fly wheel replacement. The mechanic said there had been only 20ml of transmission oil when they drained it prior to replacing. He said there was probably a leak but I should just top it up with transmission fluid every 6 months or so, it's too expensive to replace the housing. There was a really unpleasant grinding noise as I drove the car away. I took it straight back to the garage. OK, so the wife wanted a 7 seater and I found this 2005 1.9tdi touran. Issues: Engine fault (turned out to be brake pedal switch, replaced this and things got slightly better...) then... Emission fault (did a reasonable run thinking dpf and it cleared. (not it's back.. And I've just done a 700 mile weekend) Power loss. Can be driving all fine and then suddenly it's as though the turbo has stopped working. Turn engine off, start again and is fine. Seems sometimes if I slam the brakes it happens, other times I can literally just be driving laing the road. Starting issue. Heya, I needed a fuse so I borrowed one from the engine bay of my 2017 auto touran Thing is, I've forgotten where I nicked it from, im 95% sure I know but I was just wondering if anybody has a similar fuse layout to give me some peice of mind. Hi, I have a 2005 1.9 TDI. Has anyone any idea where the relay is for the front wipers please? I've taken every single relay out one by one from the ralay board behind the fuse box under the steering and the wipers kept working so it's none of them. Help. Or is it a simple case that the wipers have no relay? Thanks in advance

Hi, need a vehicle with good rear opening size so a van is an obvious choice. But dont really want a van so maybe a nice touran would be a nice option. Just need the rear door opening dimensions so if any of you Touran owners could help me out here it would be much appreciated ☺️

first time poster, not very used to this! I have a VW touran 1.6 TDI 2019 and need to replace the rear air vent. I can only seem to find the older (prior 2015) style of air vent and not the 2016 beyond one - any help would be hugely appreciated. I am very new to this so apologies in advance for any mistakes!

I bought a used Touran (automatic 12 plate sag 7 speed) and really need help. The TCM was changed last week (apparently) by the dealer but the issue existed before that, although now it’s worse. When accelerating it revs a lot before it’ll change up gear and when it revs high and I let go of the pedal it sticks. It really feels like it revs very high before changing gear. When I put foot down to accelerate there’s a delay and there’s a delay between letting go of the pedal and the revs going down. On any kind of steep incline it’s revving a lot - 4000 revs- before changing gear - on other inclines the lowest it’s changing is 3000 but normally around 35…

My turbo blew two days ago and the engine seized. I found a replacement engine. My engine is a BXE. The numbers after the BXE are different to the numbers on my engine number sticker. The engine is out of a 57 plate touran and my car is a 08. Will the other engine fit my car as they are both 105bhp engines. Asking as do not know what the other numbers are after the BXE. Chris

Hi everyone, Recently my VW Touran has started acting strange. Initially, the remote stopped working (both keys) but I was not too fussed because I could still unlock the car manually from the door handle and turn on ignition etc and go about my day (none of the buttons worked on the remote, despite having a fresh battery installed). But just now, the car, after unlocking manually from the driver's side door, is not turning on at all. It just says "NO KEY" then "CHECK". Need some advice on a head unit, when I got the car (56 toran tdi 2.0) the old owner said you have to pull the face plate off or the battery will go dead, I suspected it just to be a swap of the red and yellow cables and job done but..... Haveing don't this the same issue has arisen, is this just a nother vw gimic and power has to be sourced from say the fag lighter, or is there something else that needs changing

Hi I have recently bought a 2017 touran 1.5 petrol dsg. It came from a VW dealer and is under extended warranty. It has recently come up with the service required light on the dash. VW UK say it should have been serviced but dealer are saying its on a 24 month interval. Last time it was serviced it wasn't serviced by vw and when I rang the garage who serviced it they said its due now. Dealer are adamant that its 24 months and refusing to service it, instead they are saying they will turn off the service light... Wipers have lost conecection apprantly the master wiper motor can't talk to the other. Wipers work don't work on there own from intermittent to fast slow etc. Had it plugged in hope a second hand set of motors fix the issue only fitted on mine a 2004 sport blinking marvless.

Do I need to change my cambelt on a 2016 VW Touran if it's only done 29000 miles?
