Volkswagen Tiguan Club

Our 2015 Tiguan has developed a very strong smell that I can only describe as peroxide bleach, inside the car within the last week. It is there all the time and so strong it is causing irritant to the throat etc. I have taken it to our mechanic today but he is unable to find the source. He says there are no leaks etc to be found and is perplexed. Does anyone have any suggestions what this might be( our mechanic has been in business for many years & never come across this before).

No error codes. it started as an intermittent issue. Now, I have no power steering. The steering wheel is not vibrating or pulling... where should I look? Thanks in advance for your advice!

I have a 2018 VW Tiguan 2 Ltr Diesel in R-Line trim with 29800 miles. The main dealer has recommended that the cam belt be changed as the car is coming up to 5 years old. I know the consequences of what happens when a belt snaps but wondered what your thoughts were about changing it at 5 years?

Hi, I have a 14 plate 4 motion just reset my service message, but now my display shows settings not complete as I drive? I can't set it to mfd either. What am I doing wrong? can anybody advise please? many thanks

Few months ago, reversed car out of garage. got out of car to close garage door. On entering car again, car wouldn't start. Message on dashboard says low batter, charge battery. Charged battery and off I went . Took car to Kwikfit for their free "Winter Check" Battery fine according to Kwikfit. Two weeks ago got message on dashboard stating that battery in keyfob needed replacing. Replaced battery in both key fobs. Today, sitting in car whilst waiting for wife. Came to car today and wasn't locked but sure I locked it then put key in the ignition and nothing (dash don't light up and car won't start) if I press odometer button milage shows Any input would be very much appreciated 👍🏻

Hi, Newbie to the VW club, just ordered the new Tiguan R line edition. The salesman wasn't the best so thought would ask on here, The 'Keyless Access' standard option, is this keyless entry and start stop or is that only with the upgrade? I saw the upgrade of keyless system with tail gate option but haven't took it so wondering what my standard option actually means I dont want the keyless entry due to the amount of press about thefts and how easy it is to steal your car Cheers Tom

Can anyone tell me how much the VW We Connect Plus service costs per month or annually. I waiting on my new Tiguan Elegance and would like to know the cost, Im also under the impression that new vw cars get a free subscription, but not sure for how long. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance

We have been getting a rattling/grinding noise from front passenger side. It happens mainly when slowing down or driving slowly. We've had thr suspension, coil springs and shock absorber done. We've taken car to garage several garages and they can't find a problem, but there clearly is something going on, unless it's just one of those annoying noises. Any else had similar issues?

Hi all, After driving audi for years I've finally got myself a VW Tiguan today. When I put the key in all the lights flash on dashboard as usual however the Amber engine light stays on until I turn on the engine and then it goes away. This only started after filled it with diesel about (half the tank) later today. Before that it was not there. I read something that it might be the fuel cap but it is back on tight. Is this something that needs addressing? As I am new to VW.
