I have a bottle in the boot of my sharan, in one the little side panels got no idea what it’s for. Can someone please help me and tell me what I put in it

I have just bought a 2009 Sharan 1.9tdi and I'm looking for some parts. Namely a set of alloy wheels, front bumper mesh grille and some seat belt anchor covers. Where is the best place to source parts from?

Hi there ladies and gents, I'm trying to run a microphone through the aux connection on my sharan.. it works but there is a horrible delay on the system as I think its getting processed through the onboard computer. is there any way to have another way to fit the aux... maybe direct link to a channel of some kind on the ba k of the head unit? I want to run my tablet and aux at the same time. I know I can't use Bluetooth and aux at the same time but I do have a mixed and had planned to run both through the aux. Hi. I've owned a number of mk1 Sharans, which I loved but I've just bought a 2009 Alhambra Ecomotive because my last Sharan finally died. However I've got a problem which is fairly similar to something that happened on my Sharan Sport some years ago. The car has the engine management light on and when started says "Emissions Workshop". I drive it and after a while the flashing glow plug light comes on and it enters limp home mode. There is a slight smell of exhaust gases in the car when the heater is on and at night I can see some smoke (presume exhaust) coming from the front grill. Hi. I owned VW sharan 2012 TSI 1.4 with auto gear,for almost a year . It's quite good car. But little worried about fuel consumption, I can see from the trip computer that the fuel consumption is 11.4 l/100km inside the city usually,is that a regular consumption according to your experience , which thing I need to check if its high consumption.

Before i spend hundreds at a main VW dealer does anyone know how to get the RNS 510 working back to normal had my one year old Grandaughter on my lap pressing all the buttons on radio and steering wheel didnt take much notice but its lost all stations and everything is in German ive tried to change language back to English it comes up in German the your chosen language is being loaded but nothing happens in desperation i pressed factory reset but its still all the same in German cd goes in and wont play sat nav comes up but all in German ani ideas please thanks in advance

My 60 reg Sharan has been back and forwards to the garage, the Adblu pump then heater were diagnosed as the issue….is my heater covered under the emissions warranty? Can anyone help?

Hi, I'm currently selling my Sharan - it's on Auto Trader and Gumtree, and all I've had is a tonne of absolute chancers - tyre kickers and rude offers! So my question is: is there anywhere better than Auto Trader and Gumtree? Or are the chancers, time wasters and tyre kickers just a fact of life that I need to get over? Any tips greatly welcomed! I'm the proud owner of a 10 plated 1.9i automatic but I've an issue I need to address. When I start her up I have to put it into reverse and draw back a cpl off feet then put into drive where I have to wait for it to "bump" forward!!! What could be the issue and how could I fix said issue. Thanks in advance.

I drive a VW Sharan 2015 auto. For the last few days, the car has been shaking quite badly from around 30-40mph. After that it calms done and then as the speed climbs the steering vibrates. I don't think its alignment as it drives straight. Has anyone had a similar issue with a VW Sharan.

I have just brought a VW Sharan, 2014 Diesel Automatic. The problem I have is that the vents on the driver side blows hot all the time. Even when I set the temp to 'Lo' and put the A/C on. The passenger side works perfectley. Any suggestions ? Thank you.

Hello everyone. I am very puzzled right now with my 2012 VW Sharan 1.4TSI. My wife and I were driving home on Sunday evening along the M4 and all of a sudden I got the EPC light come up and the car lost all drive. I gradually rolled to a stop (thankfully in an SOS layby as the stretch I was on had no hard shoulder.) When we reached a stop, the engine cut out, and wouldn’t restart, or at least it would restart for about a second and then immediately die. I have an issue, or think i might have.. I bought a 2015 Sharan Bluemotion a year ago. 74K miles, done 82k miles now. I have never added Adblue to the car yet and never had any warning either till now. Can the warning be turned off, wondering if this was done at some point. Any ideas..?

I'm debating whether to get a petrol Sharan. I had a diesel Sharan that I bought just as the emissions scandal came out. I swore I'd never buy another VW diesel but we loved the Sharan. Is the Petrol Sharan a reasonable option?

I got my Sharan June 2023 and really like it, apart from the dipped headlights. I have fitted +200 lights from Halford, they give a bright light but are no better on the distance they light. I can't fit LEDs. Any suggestions please?

Hello, Last year I bought an '04 Sharan with just 24k on the clock(yeah, crazy). A few urgent issues that needed to be sorted and now done(new oil pump, coolant leak), so she's running smoothly now(touchwood!) On last service, 2 things came up that will require work sooner rather than later, one of them corroded door sills. I'd like to get a quote on it. Can anyone recommend someone to do the work please? I have just got the other half a 2012 vw sharan. We did have a 2001 Ford galaxy ( vw sharan / seat Alhambra) vw 17" skoda Octavia vrs alloys with a et54. I've looked at 17's for the sharan but says et39. My question is will the et54 fit fine or stick out to far?

Hi All, Please, can anybody give me a piece of advice, what I can do with a broken front spring in an old MK1 sport version. I have tried numerous car parts shops, nobody has the coil spring, everybody point me to the VW dealership for replacement. I have called them £225 each, need a pair. So without labour £450 just the part. The spring has a colour code, 1 WHITE 1 YELLOW 1 BLUE. It is factory lowered kit, around 30 mm, this is what I was told. Is there any alternative solution? I saw lowering kit from 250 pound with 4 spring kit that is 30 mm as well, what If I buy something like that? Any breaker who might have this part? Any advice…

Hello. I have a sharan year 2013. I upgraded the towbar and 13 pin electricity. I'm wondering how I should connect it so that my car electronics would detect my trailer and consequently turn off my sensors. Thank you and best regards.

The central locking on my Sharan 04 plate has stopped working. The drivers door is stuck in the locked position while all other doors will not lock with the fob. Meanwhile the mechanism sounds like its whirring and the hazard lights flash continually. I am having to disconnect the battery so it doesn't drain, and also so that the car is disabled considering I cannot lock it securely. Any ideas as to the root if this problem please?

Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying a 2014 model which has sports seats (SEL Tech ). What does that mean exactly, are they firmer than normal seats? Do they have lumber support adjustment? Also how do you know if the car has adaptive suspension? Thanks for any advice on these subjects or anything useful to know before I buy.
