Only second VW I have had with first being an old VW golf about 25 years ago. Bought a R Line Black 2016 2 ltr Passat which looks nice and drives nice. First DSG gearbox which is different to my previous Jaguar XF auto and probably will be my last saloon before going onto Jeep like cars to help get in and out of safely without clattering my dome and twisting the old knee caps too much getting in and out. Hello to all Volkswagen fans and petrol heads just purchased another scirocco mk2 previously I had a mk1 35 yrs ago and couldn’t get rid of the need to have a replacement so now it’s arrived it’s great to be driving a true drivers car and a joy to work on the car has a interesting history VAG OWNED dry storage for 14 years until give to dealerships grandson who didn’t really want it and ended up on the open market with 2 owners and then myself in wonderful original condition anyway looking forward to catching up with all fellow owners and getting some useful information and hopefully I can be an addition to information given. Hi all I have a VW Golf TSI Plus Reg 2009. The engine (I am told) needs to be replaced after a compression test. The question is do I pay to have a replacement engine in the car or scrap it. The body work and interior is good and I bought it for £5,000 in May 22.

Hello all, Shortly taking delivery of a low mileage 2013 Golf GTD as my new daily driver. Not my first VW, have had Polo Coupe S x2, Golf Driver Mk2, Scirocco Mk1 and Mk2 and a Passat TDi 130 Sport Wagon (probably the best of the bunch). Also many other, other makes in between. I had a problem when my 2007 1.9tdi Touran went into limp home mode. The tester said OVERBOOST Crawled under car and pulled on the Turbo boost arm and it was free so not jammed by soot. Bought a second hand vacuum control box, (NOT the N75 as stated in some you tube videos Removed battery for access To remove box undo four torx screws, then slip off two clips on the hose plug end, finally unclip the control electric plug, reverse procedure to refit. Only pain in the backside was the torx screwsm, you cannot see all of them and you need something like a 1/4 drive with a short extension to get in their and apply enough pressure to undo them, mi…

Hi guys, I`m here to find some advice on selling our beloved Treg. It`s been the best car we`ve had, but now we`re looking at getting a motorhome so trying to sell some belongings to save up for it! I was thinking of PX, but I want to buy our motorhome from a private seller and avoid the dealers, so that probably won`t be an option..Is there a for sale section I could use here? We`ve got a White R Line 2015 reg, v6 262hp, sunroof 20" wheels, service history, with just over 40,000 miles, nothing up with it at all, drives like a dream. We`ve had it from VW in cardiff about two years ago and put around 10,000 miles on it. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, Rob here, newbie. I'm new to VW and thought I'd look for a club/site where I can get answers to any questions and maybe contribute to others queries. I just bought my son a 2004 Polo 1.4tdi Mk4 (9n) and am still learning my way around the car. Needs a bit of attention but as a long time Land Rover driver, I'm reasonable handy with a a spanner....And a grinder, big hammer, gas axe and tea drinking! Hi all. I've recently purchased a new Arteon. Couldn't be happier with the car but my old iPod Nano, that houses all my favourite tracks, is not compatible with the entertainment system. It will play as a Bluetooth accessory but this option doesn't allow full functionality. Can anyone recommend a suitable MP3 device that will be compatible with the car? Many thanks

Hi, my father died recently, and I'm trying to write his eulogy, but I'm struggling to remember details of a thing that had been very dear to him. Back in the 70's he was a very active member of the VW owners club near Lincoln. I believe that it was based at the dealer ship Green's of Faldingworth. Am I asking the right people? Does anyone remember the club? My father was Colin Cook of Gainsborough. Fingers crossed.
