Please help had my golf 2 months now had dmf new clutch timeing belt done job lot problem is from a cold start the car engine shackes really bad through the car then goes when temp up to 90 what could cause this I'm stuck

hi, Both the key operated central locking and the electric front windows are not working. A local Independent linked their diagnostic machine to the car and it was pointing towards a Central Control Unit or perhaps called a Computer Control Unit, housed within the drivers door. It seems to be an intermittent fault strangely working okay in warmer weather but packing up in wet and colder weather. Does anyone have any experience with this problem please? The car will only lock manually via each door independently and the electric front windows do not work at all. Many thanks, Stephen

Hi everyone. Hoping to get some advice about the turbo system on my car.It's a 2005 1.9 TDi PD SE touran.The car would run fine for a mile or two then it'd be like the turbo had stopped working. Just no power at all. Switch off and it'd be ok for a mile or so then it'd happen again. I suspected MAP sensor as something was obviously resetting when it was switched off. After a week or so the emissions workshop light came on so I asked a friend to read it for me. Plugged into reader and it came back, from what I can remember, turbo pressure or something along those lines. Hi, I am a newbie on here, please be gentle. Would someone on here please provide some advise on a Japanese made Bosch fuel injection pump ( diesel ) part number 0 470 504 012. I would like to know the resistance value of the spill control solenoid/electromagnet, part number 479763-1220. I have a feeling that the one on this pump may have "burnt out". Would anyone have the Bosch yellow publication giving principle of operation and hopefully tech details please. Thanks in advance. rich.

Two issues I need help with. Firstly the mileage display shows ongoing fuel consumption (30.5 mpg which is 50% better in my new Touareg than in the old one) since I had the car, shows consumption on a momentary basis etc.. I want to be able to see the consumption on a specific journey - for example if i decide to drive to Brussels how can I get it to tell me the mpg achieved on that journey? Secondly how can I get it to boot up faster? Because the heated windscreen and heated steering wheel only turn on through the environmental controls on the computer, I have to sit in a damn cold car waiting the two or three minutes for the computer to boot up before I can start to d…

Hi this is my first entry on this VW site, my wife as a Lupo SDI which is a great car But recently its started draining the battery, an auto electrician looked at it and removed the aftermarket alarm and central locking. three days later it was flat again, I charged the battery and disconnected the negative lead from the battery, today I put an Amp meter between the negative lead and the negative connector and it showed 6.2 amp drain for a few second then went to zero. Help as any one got any Ideas PLEASE.....

Hi, I have an 07 3.0V6 TDI Phaeton and have aswitch on left side of steering wheel below dash level which consists of a + and a - with a push button above, it bleeps once when you push either +/- but no apparent effects, any ideas what this is for? Hey, Good day. I have a problem with my new beetles 2001 2.0 l engine.. Automatic transmission.. For the past 2 weeks whenever I go on a long way of 140 km/hr Start observing a very rough down shift and I got weird about this issue and stopped aside and then went back to continue my way but unfortunately the gear doesn't shift up to 2 moreover the the rpm reaches to 4 & 5 without shifting.. So to solve this issue temporary i have to stop the car remove the key and then start it again.. Is there any solution for my vw beetles.?? inbound1294769119114741967.mp4

Hi and hope help is near... I have a caddy with a vr6 conversation AAA code( don't know much else) It has a real lack of low down throttle response and runs very lumpy until it hits 2.5/3 rpm then takes off like a vr6 should.. I have replaced ht leads and plugs to start looking for a few other maybe's...... Coil? Maf? Coolant sensor?

Any guide? 2. Also I am wondering if can replace heat control unit for newer one? Hi Just purchased my first VW. It's a Golf mark 5 1.9tdi match 08. Seller told me to remapp as he has done it on his wife's Audi with same engine. He said big lift in BHP and fuel economy. Well worth doing. Can anyone give advice on pros and cons as I don't want to do something to car that may damage it or have no affect. Thanks Alan

I have a mk5 tdi 2.0gt 54plate the car has been going into limp mode and losing turbo at about 70mph, when I restart the car the fault has gone doesn’t turn a EML light on, I have changed the fuel filter as was black, changed the G62 sensors, and replaced the MAF sensor, I have taken the boost pressure sensor off and cleaned this, I have had the turbo checked and there isn’t any play in turbo and all moving good, I did have a EGR daily code but once cleared from the ECU this hasn’t returned, any advice would be welcomed

I have a 2007 Touran which came with (2nd hand) a multifunctional steering wheel with the paddles for the DGS gearbox and it all works very fun.. but I think it is looking in need of replacement to clean things up a bit - so my question is, from which other newer VW can I get a replacemnt.. my local VW say they do not know as all they would do is replace it with an original wheel.. I really like the look of the new VW Golf R steering wheel though my car has the cruise control on the left hand stalk..

hi,my golf 1.6 petrol 08 .57.000mls.the clutch pedal is down when iget in i pull it up by hand and runs away no probs changing gear,sometimes the pedal fall halfway ,but i can flick it up with foot and runs away perfectly,anythoughts.thankyou

My VW Eos Sport TSI When pulling a way fast there is a delay and then suddenly springs into action it's a bit hairy if pulling away on a roundabout ? Thanks Mike
