  2. As you can guess from the username I'm from Milan, moved over a couple of years ago. I had to leave my dear VW scirocco over there cause it was quite old and it would have costed me too much driving it all the way to England. As I've had some expenses in this period I had to use the bus, but now I want to get a "new" old one XD

  4. Hello, I am selling my 2000 reg diesel silver 1.9 GT TDI MK4 Golf. She has done a lot of mileage at c. 234,000, but she is still going strong. It's a 6 speed gear box. The turbo has slowed down power wise, and it needs cleaning out, as stated by my mechanic. Internal wear and tear but the body is in very good condition with only a little rust on the bottom of the driver's door. I loved this car; the only reason I am selling is I bought another petrol car for a very good deal (petrol is more economical for me now, as city driving rather than long distance). I would break her as she would make a fair bit in parts, but I just simply don't have the time or space to do so. MOTd until May this year and currently declared as SORN. So, for this reason and for quick sale, I am asking for £400 ONO. Only sensible, serious offers please. This is a good bargain due to the demand and profit that could be made on silver MK4 parts. For more images, or questions, please let me know. Manchester area.

  6. Hi, My 2012, 2ltr Bluemotion Passat DSG has recently started to give me some gear selection problems. Basically it is an occasional problem, where ,after starting the car ,it is extremely difficult to move the gear selector leaver out of the Park position. It requires extreme force to move the leaver into drive. My vehicle is still under warranty but before taking it into the local dealer, I wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar problem. Would be grateful for any info. on this problem ,as it is very inconvenient to get to the dealer. Thanks Marsh

Its a Twin front pipe it looks like it goes over a crossmember, as it has a hump, I think the part no on the flexible part is : 6no 253 097c.. Also on the exhaust : 05/2000….could this be the date of manufacture?.. Any help much appreciated. Stan

  9. 2003 Jetta 1.9L TDI w/hydraulic clutch and 5 speed manual transmission. Problem occured suddenly not gradually so must be failure rather than wear. When engine is running and clutch depressed, cannot shift into or out of any gear. With engine off, can shift thru all gears smoothly. With engine off, shift into any gear, then start engine and let clutch out, clutch engagement is smooth, everything is normal until next shift point. Can't shift unless engine is shut off, then shift is smooth, engine restarted and everything normal until next shift point. Same thing happens thru all gears. Clutch engages normally with no chatter. When stopped with engine running, no vehicle creep with transmission in gear, clutch fully depressed and brake released. Just cannot move shift lever when engine is running, but shift lever moves in and out of all gears smoothly when engine is off. Checked transmission cables support bracket - firmly attached ok. Checked brake fluid reservoir quantity - ok. No leaks observed in lines from brake fluid reservoir to clutch master cylinder or to clutch slave cylinder. All linkage from shift cables to various levers on transmission move smoothly without any binding or roughness. Any ideas would be greatly appeciated.
