Looking for a club

Hi, my father died recently, and I'm trying to write his eulogy, but I'm struggling to remember details of a thing that had been very dear to him. Back in the 70's he was a very active member of the VW owners club near Lincoln. I believe that it was based at the dealer ship Green's of Faldingworth. Am I asking the right people? Does anyone remember the club? 

My father was Colin Cook of Gainsborough. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear your sad news.
Unfortunately, I do not know of any such club but it is worth asking the local VW dealership as they may some memory of one running out from there in the 70's or even posting on the local facebook groups in the hope that someone may remember this club?
