danseantom Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi, I have a Passat B7 estate, blue motion. It has climate control, due side. Can anybody tell em how climate control works? When i set a temperate, say 22 degrees, will it adjust the total air temp to 22 in the cabin, or will it blow out air at that temperature. If the first option, would you expect if it was really hot in the car, left in the sun all day, and you set it to 22, it woudl be cool air blowing as the inside cabin temp is higher than 22, or would it still slow warm air at 22 degrees? Hope that makes sense
Volkswagen Owners Club Posted September 3 Posted September 3 climate control will keep the interior at a constant temperature that you have preset dual climate control means that either side can have a temperature which they can control accordingly (limited to their particular space and not overall in the vehicle)
danseantom Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 Thanks for this. So in this circumstance, you would expect in summer when you get in the car and its hot, if i turned the temperature to 24 degrees, it would push cooler air if the inside car temperature was higher than that, to cool the cabin temperature to 24, and in winter push warmer air to warm that car to 24 So same temp set, but different temperatures of ar being pushed depending on the cabin temp?
Volkswagen Owners Club Posted September 17 Posted September 17 in a nutshell.....yes thats right a lot of people set it to 20 degrees at all times which is comfortable in summer and winter....any cooler and it can get too cold/hot Also, in winter when the windows are steamed up the switch the system to recycle as this will draw down the moisture from the inside. Don't use recycle air supply in the summer as this can dry out the interior (and passengers) too much and become uncomfortable...switch to fresh air supply
