Advice Needed on Windshield Replacement – OEM vs Aftermarket

Hey everyone,

I need to replace the windshield on my vehicle and I'm torn between going with an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) windshield or a cheaper aftermarket option.

I've heard mixed opinions about the quality and fit of aftermarket glass, and I’m also wondering if there's any impact on features like rain sensors or lane departure systems.

Has anyone here had experience with both? Is the price difference worth it?

Also, how important is it to go with a certified installer?

I'd appreciate any insights or recommendations before I make a decision

If the screen is provided by a reputable company then it should be of equal quality to the OE part.
However, if you have ADAS sensors fitted to the windscreen then take it to Autoglass or similar as they would have to reprogramme the system
