I'm trying to open and close my windows on my mk6 tdi match 60 plate with the fob but it's not happening anybody know anything I can do thanks .

On my 55 plate Volvo, I could manually fold back the door mirrors. Either the Golf's mirrors don't do this, or they're very stiff? Anyone know where I can download an owners manual/ Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Hi, I’m needing a bit of advice, I have a 69 plate Bluemotion Golf. I’ve just had the first MOT done and 3 advisory’s came up. Offside front, near side rear and offside rear all have a light misting of oil on the shock absorbers. I’m not 100% sure what this means? My cars done 20k so not loads of miles, should I be worried? And do I need to get this fixed immediately? The guy at the MOT centre said it’s nothing to worry about but I’m not convinced. Thanks 🙂

Driving car the other day and cluster was going mental speedo and revs up and down then next min car cuts out for a second this springs back in to life dose this a few times then dies at work phone rac they say it could be 460 relay go to tps get 1 and car was bit better but still went to cut out so park it up and next morning no power to cluster so car wont start as they have immobiliser in Windows Lights Cd player all work left car till tuesday and its got life again but cluster is flickering Anyone had similar issue thanks Car is a 2008 golf gt tdi 170 sport

I’ve got a Mk 5golf r32 and the esp light won’t turn off I’ve been told the fault is 01324 the control module for the all wheel drive is it easily fixed or expensive to repair? cheers rob

mk5 golf lost keys, can anyone advise which way to go, car unlockedlocksmith wants £200 plus to cut key and program audi/vw out of question is it possible to fit 2nd steering lock door lock and key or a ecu kit with all the bits , if ecu kit will it need proging or will it all addopt the identity of doner car many thanks

Have a mk7 Golf and the stop start engages whilst travelling at 40mph and even when it's switched off. Local VW garages says it doesn't show as a fault when it's plugged in, consequently there's nothing they can do, really? Anybody else had this, thanks

Hi all. New to this club so hello and thanks for being here. We just bought a 2012 VW Golf 1.6 Tdi, 60,000 miles. Lovely car drives well. The guy that services my VW vans had a look at it today, says it's breathing far too much from the oil filler, if you remove it. He reckons it's rings or maybe piston. It certainly does puff well at tickover with the cap partly removed, bit of smoke too. Is he right or do they all do this??? Blocked breather maybe? Thanks anyway and hello again

Im wanting to retrofit a 6 speed gearbox in my 2008 mk5 golf 2.0L SDI which is currently 5 speed. can anyone tell me a good 6 speed box to use, bearing in mind the sdi is a very low power engine, I just want better mpg from it cruising on the motorways etc. I NEED A GEARBOX THAT IS 6 SPEED BUT NOT TOO HIGH GEARED THAT IT DOSENT MOVE! HAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE CANT BE JUST ME WANTING CHANGE!

Hi I’m hoping for some advice on a problem with the monopoint throttle body. Engine fires up and then dies instantly. When I restart the same problem. The rubber throttle body mount (gasket) split and the running problem started after replacing the rubber mount. I’ve cleaned the throttle body and replaced the air idle switch. Is it likely the monopoint fuel injector is faulty and is causing the problem or is it possibly something else? (I’m wonderingif it is possible to test the injector before tracking down a replacement?). Fuel is getting through when turning over the engine with the starter motor. Any advice greatly appreciated. Hi I got a 2011 Golf mk6 2.0 tdi and i got a Bmw 2 series active grand tourer wheels the fitment details is 8jx18 ET57 5x112 i fitted the one to the front it fits perfect there is anytimg else i have to consider before i fit all of them and what is everyone’s opinion, how it looks on the car?

Help! whilst replacing my front headlamp i have damaged the headlamp electrical connector. i have broken the tab off by pushing a screw driver into it's slot.i manage to get it off initially by pressing the 2 sides of the connector with some pliers. how i got this to work is anyone's guess, it just did. i've tried to get the connector off again, and i can't. what are my options if i ever had to release this connector again.

I can't find any roof bars for my mk8 Golf ? I assumed i could just buy the Thule fitting kit for my Areo bars but non exist. I've tried a set for the mk7.5 but they are miles off. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi, I'm having trouble finding the right information online so I thought I would ask in here. I'm looking to raise the motor in my 2011 Golf 1.6 Tdi 66kW to accommodate for slamming my car. I can't seem to find any information on the OEM engine mount bolts. I will obviously need to replace them with longer bolts but I'm having trouble finding the specs for the OEM ones. On top of this, I'm not sure how many of the OEM bolts I will need to replace with the longer ones. If anybody has any information that could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi all I have a golf gtd 2.0 , hope someone can help? Noticed a few days ago that the clutch pedal was releasing slowly, only done it first thing in the morning then appeared to be fine !took the vehicle vw they investigated and told me that the problem is the gear box ? I don’t really understand why as the vehicle seems to go through the gears nicely with no problems ! They quoted me £600-£800 and worst case scenario up to£2000 if they find an issue with clutch or fly whel? Anyone had similar issues? I’m aware of some issues with the slow release valve . tia

I'm about to take delivery of my new mk8 Golf and can't find any reference to a fitment kit for my Thule roof bars. Does anyone know if they are the same as the mk7 ?

Hi I have a 2007 VW golf plus with 120000 miles on the clock. The clutch pedal is on the floor. I can pull it back up and it seems its OK. I can place it in gear and it starts to drive. Then the problem re occurs when I press the pedal it stays down and it won't disengage. Is it a master or slave cylinder problem. Any help or advice would help. Thanks Michael
