I need help ! I have a 2003 1.6 petrol 16 valve Golf Match and have been told that the crankcase ventilation PCV valve has failed causing the engine to "hunt" and the EPC and Engine Warning Lights to come on. VW say the part is no longer supplied since last June and there is no replacement. Looking at similar VW parts there's no exact match and no scrapyard seems to have the part (036103464AC). There are similar codes e.g. ending AB but Volkswagen say they are not compatible. Can anyone help as it seems madness to scrap a perfectly good car for the sake of a £40 plastic valve ! Opening the oil filler allows the engine to run fine !

mk5 golf lost keys, can anyone advise which way to go, car unlockedlocksmith wants £200 plus to cut key and program audi/vw out of question is it possible to fit 2nd steering lock door lock and key or a ecu kit with all the bits , if ecu kit will it need proging or will it all addopt the identity of doner car many thanks

The VW dealership, at Western Newbridge Edinburgh, has just charged £1,375 for replacing a burnt out clutch on my elderly mothers car. The dealer claims there was consequential damage to the flywheel requiring new parts. Here's the thing - the car is not doing many miles and after 3 years on the road is still only at 15,500 miles. I've asked around and it's not common that a new flywheel is required in such a young low mileage vehicle. It seems rather than clean up the flywheel, a new part has been fitted as a matter of course. A little disappointed given the extra cost this puts on the bill. Polite, professional service otherwise. anyone tried to fit an LED headlamp bulb conversion to these cars? I bought a set off Amazon ( fits most cars!) LOL, unfortunately I found our cars dont have same arrangement as most others & the bulbs are held in a plastic thing that acts as a connector too so cant see how to fit my LEDs! Anybody come up with any way to do this?

Hi Guys I am want to purchase a golf GTI 2016 but have herd horror stories about the turbo are prone to failer. Has anybody had this issue. Would i be better off buying a later model. The car has only done 45000 miles and has full service history. The water pump has been changed. I will be glad of any info you have to offer Thanks in advance

Driving car the other day and cluster was going mental speedo and revs up and down then next min car cuts out for a second this springs back in to life dose this a few times then dies at work phone rac they say it could be 460 relay go to tps get 1 and car was bit better but still went to cut out so park it up and next morning no power to cluster so car wont start as they have immobiliser in Windows Lights Cd player all work left car till tuesday and its got life again but cluster is flickering Anyone had similar issue thanks Car is a 2008 golf gt tdi 170 sport

My Washer Pump supply plug is broken and supply cables mangled. VW dealer can supply the plug only but cannot confirm the cable sizes. Febi can supply a plug already fitted with cables, but I need advice on size of cables. Any advice please?

Hi. I have a mk6 golf saloon off side wing for sale. It's just been sprayed but I hadn't realised a golf estate front end is different to a golf saloon. Also I have a bumper in new paint for sale and one not in paint which is damaged but repairable. Please message me if you're interested in either. Hello, So today i broke down in my 2003 1.4 mark 4 golf the vehicle lost power and since then the engine would not turn over. Upon inspection i found a toothed belt has shredded yet the belt that drives the cams is still in good condition and intact. I will attempt to replace this belt myself providing i dont have to have the engine retimed or however best to explain. Appreciate any potential help

I have 2015 2.0 tdi vw golf I can’t use apps and voice, as I need activation key. Would like to use apple play on car and voice commands for phone. Been told It cost about £400 from vw, and a cheaper sd card from vision coding voids any warranties. want to be able plug phone in for charging at times and use wireless at other times. Hello, I am selling my 2000 reg diesel silver 1.9 GT TDI MK4 Golf. She has done a lot of mileage at c. 234,000, but she is still going strong. It's a 6 speed gear box. The turbo has slowed down power wise, and it needs cleaning out, as stated by my mechanic. Internal wear and tear but the body is in very good condition with only a little rust on the bottom of the driver's door.
