Was hoping someone could advise me in a situation. Got a Passat diesel 1.6 2014 model since new. Took it in for MOT and they said needed two front springs. 300 bucks later the abs light came on with other lights. Never happened before. Took it back, they said faulty sensor amd a rusted hub. 280 bucks later, lights are off but car wont go past 60 mph and revs high when trying. Called them this morning and they said it's nothing to do with any of the work they did. Thoughts?

Hi All. My 2002 2ltr petrol with 56k on the clock has always been well looked after runs quietly and without issues but now has just stopped. It turns over but will not start. Had the AA out to it and for two hours they could not get it going although they did establish that no power was getting to the fuel pump and it was a bit disconcerting to watch him bashing the relays. Car hasn't been used a lot in the last year until the last three months when 1k has been put on. Car is pretty much mint and has never let me down and main dealer serviced. Hi all. Odd problem with a Passat B7 1.6Tdi Bluemotion 2012. Symptoms: Traveling at a steady ~50 on a clear road. Glowplug indicator started flashing and car went into limp mode. Got to where we were going and restarted a few hours later: Car seemed fine. Booked it in to be looked at. (Independent VW specialist) He did an ODB scan and advised he saw “Low manifold pressure” (from memory) which suggested air leak in the intake system He checked hoses, ducts and pipework and found no problem. I have a 51 plate 1.9 tdi pd 130. there is a lack of power and when it hits a certain rev in every gear it drops 50% power. turn ignition off and back back on and the same rubbish power is back( to original low power). any ideas folks? mate said it may be the EGR valve. clues please folks. regards and thank you

It was a business owned company car prior to my ownership so has full service history, main dealer and has had no expense spared. Hello All, I'm new here so please be gentle, so I have a Passat (Shock) B6 2.0TDI 2008. Whilst she drives lovely, and the suspension feels normal. She's decided to develop a noise recently, upon going over rough terrain I can here what sounds like saucepans crashing and banging together (No I do not have a saucepan set in the boot) now from what I can see the suspension components look fine, and as mentioned I don't feel a difference in the suspension and also the handling. Vw passat b5 passenger side impact sensor. Wet under carpet when I removed seat but no corostion in plug . Diagnostics say fault permanent. Is that loom to sensor damaged or sensor itself. Don't really know what permanent means to be honest. Any ideas. Cheers

Hi folks, 2016 Passat Bluemotion owner. I’ve just recently purchased car and first time Adblue user. Issue: Using my steering wheel controls for car information such as fuel left in tank, oil temp, MPG etc, I also can scroll through and noted Adblue Range. I’ve driven car about 1000 miles since owning yet Adblue range never changes( still showing 6500 miles). Online YouTube’s videos are only showing a warning sign will appear counting down till car will no longer start and requires refilling. Should my Adblue range not show it reducing the more I drive or does it only show a warning when level is low? can anyone please help?

need help my 2ltr diesel bluemotion passat it takes 5 times to start the car and its under warranty any hints garage said battery is ok and they found petrol in the diesel but that would not cause it not to start car has alway ran ok its just the starting issue garage is reluctant to change parts to see if the one on car is faulty

I like all the new technology in the car and was really enjoying driving it, but VW seem to have messed up with the auto-dimming of the instrument panel lighting. Actually I hadn't even noticed this "feature" until early September when it suddenly became very apparent, annoying and maybe even dangerous. I always drive with the side/headlights control switch in the AUTO position so the headlights turn on if ambient light level gets low. The car also has separate daytime running lights, by the way.
