carmadrob
Vw passat b5 passenger side impact sensor. Wet under carpet when I removed seat but no corostion in plug . Diagnostics say fault permanent. Is that loom to sensor damaged or sensor itself. Don't really know what permanent means to be honest. Any ideas. Cheers

Volkswagen Owners Club
Usually when wiring is subjected to water ingress it can damage the wire and cause high resistance which could be the reason you have this issue. just cut back the wiring to a good point and put new in place, should cure the fault
