Can anyone help please? I need to replace the gearbox casing to my sons 2012 Passat. This is an image of the code on the part that needs replacing. What does the WWO 6 ref mean as I have sourced a part but the code is WWO 2 does this make any difference? Or does anyone have a part with the same code to sell?

Yesterday, my boot stopped opening via either the remote, catch or the button on the door so I’m having to open it manually from the inside. Having ruled out the remote, the boot deadlock switch (in the glove compartment on some US models apparently) I began to inspect the catch. Here’s the thing: When the boot is actually open, the boot catch works via all the usual methods (remote, external handle, driver’s button), however, as soon as it’s shut it no longer functions. This lead me to investigate the possibility of the wiring becoming trapped or damaged by the hinge being in the closed position. I cannot find any evidence of external damage but concluded possibly…

I have a 51 plate 1.9 tdi pd 130. there is a lack of power and when it hits a certain rev in every gear it drops 50% power. turn ignition off and back back on and the same rubbish power is back( to original low power). any ideas folks? mate said it may be the EGR valve. clues please folks. regards and thank you

Proud owner of B5.b 4 motion 2003. My ABS is disconnected due to fault. Of course those 2 lights come up to dashboard and MOT guys did not like it. Would some of you suggest a different solution from replacing ABS or dismantling the dashboard to switch them off, please? I thought of maybe some pin bridging in the cable which is now disconnected from ABS. Thanks and best. Joe

Hope someone can please help my dpf light keeps comming on I have had it regenerated about 20 times no fault codes I have had a company come and clean it (£270) have replaced the top sensor and it’s still comming on and going into limp mode would a new dpf sort this once and for all the car is a 13 reg blue motion tdi 140000 miles I love the car and don’t want to get rid of it but am proper fed up with it now cherrs

Hi guys have a problem with rear lights I turn them on with the switch and then they come on then turn off within 5 secs I have replaced the headlight switch which operates the lights and still the same any help

Was hoping someone could advise me in a situation. Got a Passat diesel 1.6 2014 model since new. Took it in for MOT and they said needed two front springs. 300 bucks later the abs light came on with other lights. Never happened before. Took it back, they said faulty sensor amd a rusted hub. 280 bucks later, lights are off but car wont go past 60 mph and revs high when trying. Called them this morning and they said it's nothing to do with any of the work they did. Thoughts?

On checking the outside temperature display on the car, it is showing 60 degrees Celsius! id there any way to reset or do I need to replace the sensor? if I need to replace the sensor, can it be done by myself? Or is it better for a garage to do it? thanks in advance for all help!

Hi need help whit samthing...I got 2012 vw cc 2.0 tdi....had starting problem....after scanning shows crankshaft and camshaft sensors are bad...after replacing them now car has engine light on and spiral sing flashing and reduced power....so replaced again because that sensor were faulty but still have same problem...any one have any experience would appreciate for help

The time has come to face the prospect of saying goodbye to what has overall been the best car I have ever owned. With only one very careful previous owner (2 years) it served me for many years until it was retired from service just two years ago, with the intention being to make it a restoration project. I now have to admit that this is not going to happen. I would prefer to find someone who will restore and cherish it but recognise that it may instead need to be an amazing donor car. Hi, new here, hope to get some advice. 2017 Passat GT estate, bought used by me November 2020. A neighbour pointed out to me that there appears to be uneven disc wear on both rear discs (see pics) with the wear only in the middle part of the discs. Front discs show even wear all around. He's not a mechanic (neither am I clearly!). I've booked the car into the service dept of the place I bought it from (not a VW dealer). Although now out of their used car warranty, they did service it last so if it has the wrong size of pads fitted it would be their fault. Grateful for any informed insights....

Hi All. My 2002 2ltr petrol with 56k on the clock has always been well looked after runs quietly and without issues but now has just stopped. It turns over but will not start. Had the AA out to it and for two hours they could not get it going although they did establish that no power was getting to the fuel pump and it was a bit disconcerting to watch him bashing the relays. Car hasn't been used a lot in the last year until the last three months when 1k has been put on. Car is pretty much mint and has never let me down and main dealer serviced. Just dont want to go down the road of replacing exspensive items when I feel it is something simple, I hope. Any help o…

My 2002 1.9 tdi 130 sport Passat passed an MOT in Nov 2020 and was fully serviced Feb 2021. However, when I drive on an uneven road, the off side rear suspension 'bangs' or 'thud' to me appropriate but nothing was found on the MOT or service. More recently, even slight movement on the road sounds like two chipmunks are squabbling in the boot. Does anyone have any idea as to what is failing and might need replacing? The springs are not too old so I think i can discount them.

I found one used in good condition but it's from estate version and my car is saloon. Is there any difference between this two types when we speak about glove box? Thank you
