Just got a 2023 plate Touran SE Family and getting to grips with it. Having gone through the tortuous process of moving SayNav favourites from a TomTom to the in-built system (Navigation system "Discover Media" incl. Streaming & Internet) I notice that when I display them then they are in a funny order. I was rather hoping they would be in alphabetical order, but, oh no! Guessing they might be in order they were input, but not sure. Anyway, the question is can I get the system to display A-Z or am I stuck with them like this?

Hello. Just acquired a 2.0tdi sport, 2012 model without the internal switch to fold back the door mirrors. I think there's a way to do this with the remote key. Does anyone know about this, please?

OK, so the wife wanted a 7 seater and I found this 2005 1.9tdi touran. Issues: Engine fault (turned out to be brake pedal switch, replaced this and things got slightly better...) then... Emission fault (did a reasonable run thinking dpf and it cleared. (not it's back.. And I've just done a 700 mile weekend) Power loss. Can be driving all fine and then suddenly it's as though the turbo has stopped working. Turn engine off, start again and is fine. Seems sometimes if I slam the brakes it happens, other times I can literally just be driving laing the road. Starting issue. I understand this is the starter motor, does anyone know if this is a strai…

Haveing don't this the same issue has arisen, is this just a nother vw gimic and power has to be sourced from say the fag lighter, or is there something else that needs changing

I have a 2008 Touran with a 2.0 TDI 170hp engine. 2 weeks ago the RPM on idle started staying at 1100 from the usual 800-850.This happened everyday, but not every time the car was stopped. I did a check and not a single sensor or code was showing on the computer. In the meantime I changed a cracked water pipe which made the car loose about 1 liter of coolant (replaced now). And also when the RPM is at 1100 and when I press the brakes the steering wheel tends to shake or block for a fraction of a second when turning fast. Tried turning the wheel with normal RPM(800) and the steering wheel is absolutely fine. The car has been checked by many mechani…

HI all newbie here, not new to the VW brand though, I have a strange issue where the instrument cluster/clocks lost power this morning after the car was left for a week. I removed the clocks and split them apart, noticed some residue across the PCB so cleaned that off with solvent cleaner and allowed to dry. Refitted the clocks together, refitted to the car they came back to life briefly then turned off, so repeated the process and they stayed on for the whole of a 20 mins drive but didn't power back up when I got back in after refuelling. The car drives the same, I've scanned with VCDS and there are no faults at all. ???? Completely at a loss, I've ju…

Hi, thanks in advance any advice will be much appreciated. I have a 2014 touran 1.6 manual with stop start with the gearbox code being MFR. Unfortunately the box decided to pack up suddenly, without warning. Now I'm struggling to get hold of a second hand gearbox with the MFR code. Having researched online, I can see that a gearbox with the MAW is very similar and more readily available.T Looking at the VW manual, both gearboxes have identical gear ratios. I can't find any difference, so why make them with different codes. The big question is, is this possible? has anybody fitted a gearbox with a different code to the original?

Hi all, I purchased my 2014 Touran (2.0 TDI BlueMotion Tech Sport) back in 2018 to replace an ageing BMW 320D M Sport touring. The main Idea of the Touran was that I could load my mountain bikes into the back of the car which would mean they were more secure if I needed to leave the vehicle unatended. This works great as I can easily fit two bikes in with the front wheels removes. The issue I'm having is with the actual journey. I Travel around 250 miles from the Midlands to Wales for better mountain bike trails but on the journey back I'm in so much pain with my right knee that it's almost impossible to drive. I have tried various seat positions, used nu…

I've just picked up a VW Touran 2004. Test drive was absolutely fine and on initial inspection everything looked good. However, after driving it for about 2hrs the engine sounded pretty loud. I popped the bonnet and there's excessive movement in the engine. When the engine is cool it's not so bad. I'm going to service it. But any ideas on what this could potentially be? I did pop in to a garage that I was passing by who suggested it could be the engine mounts but without a proper look they can't be sure. It's had a brand new mot - no advisories. Had a lot of work done to pass the mot and no mention of any issues with the engine mounts or anything else...
